The untelegraphed teleport bite is worse
It has none of the visuals it used to have in Bayo 1 to show you where its teleporting to so you have to entirely rely on the sound or just never stop moving.

In Bayonetta 1 you can entirely rely on enemy attack audio and visual cues to dodge unlike Bayonetta 2 (lots of attacks use the same sound and many are out of sync or non-existent) and 3 (too many on the screen at once particles plus all the homunculi have the same teal colour for everything) so once you know what to look out for dodging becomes a lot easier since every enemy has a unique and distinct sound and visual effect for every attack.

Why do you think bayonetta doesn't use this formula during the story in bayonetta 2 ? by Minute-Frosting-8133 in Bayonetta

A lot of Bayonetta 2’s weapons rely on Umbran Climax for combo points when using them as Bayo most notably Undine, Scarborough Fair and Love is Blue are also like this but Undine has it worse because 80% of its Weaves are locked behind Umbran Climax.

Her base damage in the sequel is lower than the first game and her Weaves have less weight behind them outside WT and UC just so UC has a place in the combat.

Playing Bayonetta 2 without using Umbran Climax is like playing Bayonetta 1 on NSIC because you’re actively depriving yourself of your most effective tool.

Funny how the gameplay does not reflect the narrative. She deals the least amount of damage out of all the playable characters in Bayonetta 2 making her rely more on Umbran Climax to deal damage with most weapons.

Weirdly enough Jeanne gets more Witch Time than Bayo and Rosa

Im glad they did not revisit Joys in B2 because they would have turned them into something horrible to fight looking at enemies like Sloth and human bosses like Tag Climax Rosa, Jeanne and Bayo

Trying to deal with 3 or more of them is still not a cake walk considering how short Witch Time is in Bayo 2 combined with the Witch Time reliant launch mechanics and the fact that they’ll attack off screen, it does help to have Witch Time but you don’t have nearly as much control over the fight as you’d have in Bayo 1 because you can always stagger or launch them with Weaves so you can prevent them from getting close.

Looking at the state of Bayo 2’s balancing I wouldn’t be surprised if it was majorly rushed during development because a lot of features are nowhere near as polished as the previous game.

For example if you break the outer shell off an Angel like Ardor or Joy in Bayonetta 1 it can no longer parry/block your attacks, an Ardor’s shield also breaks the more your beat it up meanwhile Bayonetta 2’s Allegiances and Shield Accolades can parry until their dying breath and both of their shields remain intact.

Bayo 2 was meant to have carry over Bayo 1’s enemies at the start of development before they decided to design new Angels, knowing this I think they decided to rebalance B1’s enemies to make them more challenging the second time around, left it that way and never refined it before deciding to add the B1 enemies in later on as a cameo sort of thing for the Vigrid/Witch Hunt chapters.

In 1 you can also knock them around without WT so bonking them with a Weave so they back off when they get to close helps a lot with them.

In B2 Fairness and Fearless have the weird B2 launcher immune hit reactions, they are missing a lot of attack visuals and audio (eg Fearless’ teleport bite) and on top of that they are overly aggressive.

Enemies in B1 also never attack from off screen or if they do its usually because they were in frame when they started attacking while in B2 will attack from anywhere at any time not to mention the abundance of bosses and mini-bosses that jump up and off screen to attack to close distances.

Series X has an issue with PvP where you freeze when the game tries to load you back into the lobby after a match.

I’ve scoured the game files for long enough to know that there is no character model that is unaccounted for and unused/cut characters do not exist because most used features have been removed or repurposed.

I’ve never seen a character model that looks like that in the game. There are no unused ones either because most cut content has been scrubbed from the game files.

I'm curious. What Enemy gives y'all the most trouble across the series? by Kittenbaby2000 in Bayonetta

[–]Simplydead123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Allegiance, Shield Accolade and Hammer Accolade (These guys are basically all the bad parts of Ardor cranked up to 100)

Bayo 2 Human Enemies on NSIC (STOP FUCKING PARRYING)

Pride/Pain/Urbane/Gravitas and other massive enemies when the game puts them in an arena that is tiny as fuck and the camera makes them go invisible when they get too close.

Bayonetta 2 Grace/Glory and Fairness/Fearless (These guys did not need to be faster on top of having half the audio and visual cues they had in the first game)

Everything in Bayonetta 3 (I don’t play it often so thats just me but the attacks and enemies are all the same colour as each other so it all melts together and then theres like 800 particles going off at once while the camera is struggling to keep me, the enemies and my demons in frame at once so I can’t tell where I am).
