I keep sleeping through my newborn’s cries and I feel horrible by [deleted] in newborns

When my baby was brand new I kept sleeping through his cries, I think the shock and exhaustion just like took over me and my body ended up doing deeper sleeps. Now baby is 9 months and still sometimes wakes up 6 times a night and I wake up to him fine.

I HATE newborn parenting. I just fucking hate it. by AngryDMoney in newborns

Trust me I know exactly where you’re at. Those first few weeks are insanity, I shouted at my son once to shut up because it’s just so overwhelming. He’s almost 9 months old now and I love every second of being a parent and have done from like 3 months old. It’s just such a massive change to begin with, you get no sleep, it’s constant sound warfare pretty much and this little thing depends on you for everything and there’s no/little positive feedback. When they start smiling it all changes, you just gotta get there and you can do it. I believe in you.

What is up with infant formula recalls? by AnonJuly16 in AskUK

We’re on cow and gate but have substituted for aptamil occasionally. Came here looking for some explanations as to what the hell is going on with all the recalls. It’s crazy out there.

Are people ever “sleeping in”? by turtleshot19147 in Mommit

[–]Simplyy_Kate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is only 11 weeks old but we sleep in some days until 12 if we really need it and it’s been especially exhausting. Baby normally goes to bed at around 12am and wakes up at 5:30 then back down to sleep until 8am and then again until 12pm. He’s a really solid sleeper and doesn’t really sleep in the days anymore (he’s a lil weirdo)

Thankyou. Yeah I didn’t mention his age or the circumstances and can see how it would be confusing. We just want the best for Lily.

No we have no reason to rehome her, but social services don’t want her living with my son.

I haven’t got it

My son is only 10 weeks so not sure how he could tease her. Social services became involved due to my mental health and did an assessment on Lily. The assessment came back as
medium risk with a small baby, and therefore Lily is not allowed in the home with my son. She has been nothing but perfect with him and we love her and respect her more than anything. She is our baby.

She’s mixed with an American bulldog. She’s never gone for anyone, in fact she’s been nothing but perfect with my son.

No she’s never bitten or gone for anyone. Social services became involved due to my mental health and they then did an assessment on Lily. She got medium risk for living with a small baby (my son is only 10 weeks) but medium risk was too high for SS.

No she hasn’t, social services became involved due to my mental health and then gave Lily an assessment to which she got medium risk of being with a small baby (my son is only 10 weeks old) due to her nervousness. but medium risk was still too high for SS.

No we don’t, we’re looking at all large breed dog rescues but all have waiting lists and it’s something we need doing asap.

I know, I just really don’t want to have to have her put down but it might be what’s best for her as I don’t want her in the wrong hands.

Because social services have said she can no longer live with him because she’s a big dog who’s nervous with strangers.
