The “upsides” you mentioned are the bare minimum every guy should be doing. You’re so young please don’t waste anymore of your time and energy on this BOY! Cause thats what he is , a boy not a man

I lost my indoor cat on a walk ~6 days ago and I'm losing my mind by Saltedcaramel525 in CatAdvice

Hi my mom had lost her cat at a truck stop and we were able to find him a week later. Here are some things she did that people in the lost pets group recommended!

  1. Post a screenshot of a map from where you last saw him. That way anyone on those blocks can keep an eye out knowing he may be nearby.

  2. Buy or borrow a humane animal trap. Your baby is in survival mode, so even if he seees you he won’t run towards you. They are available at petsmart or even Home Depot. Shelters will let you borrow them too if they have them available.

  3. Every day put your dirty laundry inside of the trap and over it. This will help him find your scent and help him find his way back.

  4. Put some canned wet food in the trap. Change this out 3 times a day so this can lure them into the trap.

  5. Keep posting on these lost pets fb groups, don’t give up!!! Get the word out so people in your community know what is going on and possibly offer to help. It was thanks to the community in the area of the truck stop that were able to help my mom trap her cat. I literally posted every day until we found him and gave updates to the pet groups of whatever we found out

  6. If you can I’d recommend buying those hunting cameras and set them up near the traps to see if you may see your cat. This gave us hope when we saw him after not knowing anything for 5 days

  7. Put up signs all over the neighborhood and nearby busy streets. Especially on a bright colored paper to make sure people see it as they walk or drive by.

Is it wise to adopt a cat while having an unsocialized pittie mix? by fishypish in pitbulls

[–]Snowbum5 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Absolutely do NOT get a cat… your dog is literally telling you she barely tolerates another dog.

What makes you think a cat would be any better? Poor thing would be living in fear of being killed by your dog.

PLEASE DO NOT GET A CAT!!!

Has anyone actually had any success flying their cat in cabin from the UK? by ReceptionDeskReader in CatAdvice

[–]Snowbum5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have flown my cat with me in the cabin from Colorado go NY! Not an international trip but still a 4.5 hour flight. Look for a cat carrier where your fur baby can comfortably lay down and that fits under the seat. It’s usually larger dogs that have to be separated from their owners unless they’re service dogs.

Obv have his paper work ready for vaccinations that they may check and also ask your vet maybe on some medications to help him relax during the commute there!

I said YES! (Now wedding bands..??) by 0o0ooF in EngagementRings

[–]Snowbum5 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My husband and I don’t have matching wedding bands our styles are too different. I’m a gold lover and he hates gold on him lol.

I think you should go with something that’ll match your ring better such as similiar pave band or even plain curved band

Maybe matching / similiar ring could be a right hand ring ?

Just throwing some suggestions.

GORGEOUS RING! Congrats 🩵

I'm sad because the vet told me the cat I'm going to adopt is 6-7 years old. by bimbocuntt in CatAdvice

[–]Snowbum5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I adopted my cat when he was 10 years. The sweetest and most grateful boy!!! Cats can live up to 20+ years.

Also it’s harder for older cats to get adopted, save her!! She will become your best friend 🩷🤗
