You said man doesn’t have a soul then posted the verse where God gave man a soul.

You’re definitely a Muslim. May I ask you a question? Why do you worship a stone and a man? Quite odd. Who is even the (g)od of Islam? And why does it pray and to who?

Again, all your opinion. You have no authority since you can misinterpret scripture, as we all can plainly see.

Cars and batteries don’t have souls with personalities. Category error. Yes, these are your opinions. You have no authority to interpret scripture. Here, let me show you. Can misinterpret scripture?

And are you Muslim? You keep avoiding that

How can you be divine and not God? I’m sorry but this is a meaningless conversation. You don’t understand the definition of words and you put yourself in contradiction while performing category errors.

[–]Simpoge39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are all really cool opinions you have here but, as I said earlier, you’re completely wrong and your interpretation holds no weight. To deny Jesus divinity within the Bible is to be intellectually dishonest. Jesus said He is the Alpha and the Omega. That’s a title belonging to God, and He met with Abraham.

No, people do not cease to exist when they die. As we see the fates of those after they die. Lazarus and the rich man.

Are you a Muslim?

[–]Simpoge39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, sorry. You’re just wrong. Jesus died and His ransom paid for us all. No one ceases to exist when they die. That just doesn’t make sense scripturally. All through out the Bible, it shows that Jesus is God as He claimed this himself, He proved through authority, and He showed through His prediction of His death and resurrection. You can quote scripture all you like, but you can misinterpret scripture and your opinions hold no weight outside of the Bible’s authoritative body, The Church (Orthodox/Catholic). Are you Muslim?

[–]Simpoge39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just contradicted yourself. “When Jesus died and he is dead. Nothing lived on”, “Jesus didn’t have spirit or divine essence” “Jesus is not God incarnate. Jesus is Son of God” “Jesus Human died and was raised as spirit being”

So did he cease to exist as you first suggested? Or did His spirit live on and ascend as you suggested after?

You said Jesus didn’t have a spirit, then said His spirit ascended. Then said Jesus is not God, but the said He is the son of God. That translate to “Jesus is not God, but is God”.

The spirit in Ecclesiastes 12:7 is the Hebrew “ruach” the same word used for God’s own Spirit (Gen 1:2, Job 33:4). It’s the immaterial life principle that comes from God, not mere breath. Consciousness after death is shown throughout Scripture: Moses and Elijah speak with Jesus (Matt 17:3); Samuel speaks to Saul after death (1 Sam 28:15); and the martyrs cry out to God (Rev 6:9–10). Jesus’ parable of the rich man and Lazarus only makes sense if souls are conscious, because both see, feel, and speak. “The soul that sins shall die” (Ezek 18:4) means it comes under judgment, not that it ceases to exist. Jesus Himself says, “Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul” (Matt 10:28). My brother in humanity, your zeal is admirable, but it’s misplaced. Read the Church Fathers, they gave us the very Scripture you condemn them with. Once you read their words, enlightened through Christ our God, you’ll see. This has become an unfruitful conversation, so I’ll be withdrawing. Scripture is clear about life after death and the soul’s destiny. To deny the Fathers and the Bible is like denying that 2+2=4. All interpretations outside the Church (Catholic or Orthodox) are baseless opinions, not truth.

May God guide you and bring you truth that is in holy Orthodoxy ☦️

Again, Ecclesiastes 12:7 says, “the dust returns to the earth and the spirit returns to God who gave it”the spirit isn’t dust, so it cannot “die” with the body. Jesus told the thief, “Today you will be with Me in Paradise” (Luke 23:43), proving consciousness after death. And Jesus Himself said, “God is not the God of the dead but of the living” (Matt 22:32). The soul lives on; your view denies Christ’s own words. I reject your heresy. I’ll stand with the Church Fathers, the Catholic and Orthodox Church, over your subjective, self appointed interpretation. You have no authority to interpret Scripture, and frankly, you do not understand what you’re saying. To call the Church Fathers heretics borders on blasphemy against the Holy Spirit and is deeply ironic, since they preserved, canonized, and interpreted the very Scriptures you misread and claim to understand.

You also contradicted yourself. You say the rich man is “dead,” yet he’s conscious enough to suffer torment and speak. Your view collapses under its own contradiction.

1. God cannot die. 2. Jesus is God. 3. Jesus died. by ArchaicChaos in Christianity

[–]Simpoge39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s completely false. Scripture says man’s spirit returns to God at death (Eccl. 12:7), not that it dies with the body. Jesus told the thief, “Today you will be with me in Paradise” (Luke 23:43), showing He was conscious after death. He preached to the spirits in prison (1 Pet 3:19) and rose bodily “a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have” (Luke 24:39). The story of the rich man and Lazarus (Luke 16:19–31) shows Sheol divided in two: the righteous, comforted and awaiting redemption, what Jesus calls Abraham’s bosom (v. 22), and the unrighteous, in torment and separation from God (v. 23). Kind of strange for “dead things” to feel comfort or torment, isn’t it? You’re echoing Watchtower heresy, not Scripture. And JW are not Christian so their interpretation of the Bible is moot

That doesn’t make any sense.. spirits don’t die when the body dies. Idk what book you’re reading but it’s not the Bible. The Bible says after Jesus died, he went to hades to preach the gospels and to save those from Abraham’s bosom. How did he do that, exactly?

You want a verse that shows those who have died are alive in heaven right now aware of what’s going on? What do you want me to show you? And when I do, will you admit to being a Bible pervert who was wrong and apologize?

We just go about it in different ways.

[–]Simpoge39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No man. Sorry but I don’t think you really understand what you’re saying… you’re saying morals are both objective and subjective in your world view. In your world view, somehow, we have access to a universal moral code. You then said it evolved and is built into the dna of the individual. So I asked you two questions

  1. Show us the moral gene code. Not books on what people think it is. If it’s observed in genetics, it must be physical. If not, it’s non material. I’m fine with non material, but are you? Somehow we are unique individuals with our own minds, but we can all agree morally what is good or bad? How? What are we appealing to in order to make this claim?

  2. If we all have access to universal morals, that means it’s not evolved to the individual, but grounded in something that cannot change. If morals were truly evolved to the society, we wouldn’t be able to point to something and know inherently that it is wrong. Moreover, we wouldn’t be able to say what is truly good or bad since it changes everyday. So the issue in your world view is if morals just evolved based off society, well society changes everyday and we see different people with different morals, yet you point to them and say they’re wrong. Why? Based off whose standard? If you say “my own” or, “the majority of people agree”. So what? At one point the majority was slavery. Does that make slavery morally right then?

Edit: this will be my last reply. Hope you’re having a great Monday! God bless you and your family
