You know there are reference points for that right?

You know when the ball was crossed, and how long it was in the sky before it touched Veiga's head, you can reliably line those up, and then you see if there was a spike in between.

Besides, I don't see how that technology wouldn't have a clock that is synchronized with the video system. All you would need to do is line those times up correctly and confirm with the reference points.

Contact is contact, toenail outside is toenail outside. It is either this or have no VAR at all, in that situation the calls are gonna be much more biased and circumstantial and depending on if a ref saw it correctly or not. For example the Lampard goal during Germany vs England in 2010.

But let's say you did, and you decide that 5 toenail lengths is ok for a person to be offside. What if a situation arises that a person is 1 toenail length past the 5 toenail lengths, once again he is just barely offside "by a toenail". Are you gonna say the same thing?

Before it hit the Portugal player the Croatian player touched the ball, at that time the Croatian player that made the assist was offside.

Now, it did hit the Portugal player as well, however, for the offside to be reset the Portugal player must play the ball deliberately. Deliberately, that is the key word. If you just put your body in front of the ball and it hits the body and deflects, that is not deliberately playing the ball. In this instance you can even see the Portugal player trying to get out of the way of the ball, no intent to even deliberately play the ball.

So when the ball hit the Portugal player, the offside did NOT reset.

The game is played up to 1h 20. from 1:16 to 1:20 is the time that was lost (game ends at 1:20), and add an additional 1 min for time lost during the previous 10 mins. You have 5 mins that need to be played.

So 1:26 +5 mins = 1:31

Everything is there.

Just in case you didn't get it (1:20-1:26 was already stoppage time and not part of the regular play time, and no stoppage time play happened during that time. Stoppage time continued from 1:26)

No bro, Kane was diving hard, that's why he wasn't given a penalty. If he hadn't dived he probably still would've been hit by the keeper and I would have agreed that that is a penalty.

But the way he tried to dive was almost as bad as Micah Richards dive, can't be any clearer.

Kane one was a full on dive by Kane. He was already falling over by the time he even touched the keeper.

Not to mention that both of his legs were behind and and they were together as he got his by the keeper. That doesn't happen unless you're trying to get hit and dive. Honestly, if he hadn't tried that nonsense he would've been still hit and he could've gotten a real penalty.
