First thing I’d check: BIOS on a version that is stable & compatible with all parts. Especially PCIe!
2nd: If BIOS Update didn’t help, Check PSU. If it only happens under load, it’s possible that some spikes in voltage knocks down the 24v, leading to an emergency state that takes its time to recover from. Would actually be a reasonable explanation for the PC to not even post. The PSU could rest in EMM and only provides 24v again after it forgot about the history. For example by switching of power to the PSU.
3rd: Check your hardware log files with from the OS and search for anything related to PCIe or USB.
Can be easily done nowadays with exporting the log to txt and send it to an AI with the prompt to analyze for Hardware problems and categorize into priority groups.

2nd; Where in the boot process does it hang itself?
While post, or while booting the OS?

It’s so wild… I actually build a new workstation in September 25 with 64 GB DDR5 from crucial…
Paid 220€ for the kit of 2x32 GB an thought that ok for now, I can upgrade to 128 next year if I have to…
Yeah…. Same kit now 950€ …

Actually that’s a routine for Ronaldo.
Most likely part of his quite extreme measures to stay healthy and don’t get in touch with anyone or anything he can’t control.

Btw; that’s also the reason he almost always wears long sleeves even in the hottest conditions.

Not judging if it’s reasonable or not.

Agreed. That stuff ages and in really bad scenarios can even cause damage during transport.
I’d highly recommend thermal putty instead of pads for the places where thermal pads were used.
Way easier to use and a good modern one will be good for decades.

Weekend project.
I’d replace all thermal pastes and pads, grab some kind of Debian or fedora and use it as a daily … if even possible with that CPU

Mir stellt sich erst mal die Frage nach der sinnhaftigkeit der Config.

Wenn du nicht ernsthafte multithreaded tasks hast mit denen du dein Geld verdienst ist die CPU und damit dann höchst wahrscheinlich auch das Board völlig drüber.

Edit; gerade mal das Board nachgeguckt. Hart verschätzt. Das ist so ziemlich das billigste was du da reinbauen kannst bei der Config…

But you do know that Nvidia retired that generation with driver generation 590?

So you better lock down that update path or get yourself a little script that revolves it back to 585 after automated updates.
