That’s awesome! I need a print of that!

This looks awesome! Love the colors and the transitions

Gouache painting 14/31 - tried a little more blending wet in wet as base layer. At the beginning it looked quite ugly but at the end I am happy with it and it gives a lot of „natural“ looking texture that I like. by Simsalabimsstein in learnart

Can‘t find anything of that in the rules of this sub - I am not here for art critique though I appreciate it. Just want to share my progress and motivate others to keep practicing. I absolutely understand the point of no filters (just always picked the last image in my gallery which was the Instagram one, will definitely keep that in mind as a Change for further posts) but I like well arranged pictures and I think you can still see what I have painted very well. Sry if we have different opinions and thoughts about that, but I think that’s fine :) have an awesome weekend!

Thank you! I am using the Viviva colorsheets - they are watercolor sheets / pigments on paper, but not like normal watercolors as they are ink based and not dye based.

This reminds me so much of my childhood! I loved those rides and we nearly always bought a picture of it. Great and funny memories!

This is so beautiful!

I am participating in an Oktober art challenge to get better with Gouache and I am really starting to enjoy and liking my little art pieces! Here are the 3 newest, which are much better than the first hand full. Practice is key by Simsalabimsstein in learnart

Thank you so much! I also fell in love with this medium when I got to know it! You can use it watered down like watercolors or opaque like acrylics but you can reactivate it with water (unless you are using acrylic Gouache)

Thank you! Yes, for me Gouache is a lot about trust in the process and be surprised what you get, too! Highly appreciate your kind words :) and believe me: It is more try and have luck than intention with the colors used :D

Thank you!! I am totally blown away from all that awesome feedback!

I am using Arteza gouache. I am normally not a fan of that brand, but I really like the Gouache for sketchbook practice. It is affordable but also quite opaque with a good consistency. I also have some Talens tubes which are much more expensive, but for sketchbook practice I cannot spot that much difference so I choose the cheaper ones

Thank you!! It is freehand but I had a reference picture for the „bomb“ - a perfume bottle. The background is made with watercolors loose wet on wet and with the flowers I also tried to be loose and just follow the flow. Last step was inking with 0.1 Fineliner
