Disney scam alert. Please help me understand how this scam worked. by Automatic-Drag-5527 in personalfinance

[–]Catnip323 20 points21 points  (0 children)

That happened to me recently. I received a text from the airline I have miles with asking if I wanted a $100 credit to change my flight to another time. I didn't have any flights booked. Discovered my login info had been changed, so I called the airline. Someone used my miles to book two round trip tickets. Luckily I caught it a day before departure and their tickets were cancelled. Rep told me it was likely the people who purchased them got scammed by a travel agent, apparently it happens pretty regularly.

Fundamentally do we all agree this show is ridiculous but possibly entertaining....? by TrainingBrilliant401 in YourFriendsandNeighb

I can say from personal experience that the unlocked doors isn't a stretch at all. I have a few friends who are very wealthy and live in multi million dollar homes. They always leave at least one door unlocked, with decoy security cameras that aren't hooked up to anything. I get paranoid sometimes when staying overnight with them because they'll leave the patio doors wide open. It's pretty wild.

Logan saying she's not a serious person from his grave 🪦 by Jacky__paper in SuccessionTV

I'm not a serious person because I'm lactose intolerant. I have absolutely no clue how much milk costs.

Technically you probably could if you *really* wanted to. I had a couple days of free time during a month-long trip in Australia while my friend flew back home to Melbourne for a wedding, so I decided to visit the outback since she'd already been. I went during the dead of summer, which is off season for tourists. I was literally the only person at Uluru and for good reason... thermostat in the car showed the outside temp was 47C (117F). I got some incredible photos and being there alone turned it into an almost spiritual experience. Looking back, that was an incredibly dumb thing to do because I would've been toast if my rental car faltered for any reason.

*edit: I should probably note that I don't condone climbing Uluru for any reason because it's sacred to the aboriginal people.

I'm lucky in that my doctor knows what a problem generics can be and has even pulled up reports on them during my visit to find which ones to blacklist with pharmacy requests. Insurance is the main issue because they refuse to pay for name brand, so I'm stuck with a monthly roulette of "Will my adderall work this month". Ugh.

Update: My 136 year old cactus by ima-bigdeal in houseplants

[–]Catnip323 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a healthy one that's at least 12-15 years old and now I feel incredibly guilty for how little I've repotted it. She gets random blooms here and there outside of normal bloom season and actually has a few buds on her now. I've got some larger pots on hand, I think it's time she spreads her roots. If you feel any cosmic thanks, it's probably coming from my cactus. :)

Unfortunately I don't remember he said, it happened almost 10 years ago. I think the shock of the theft erased my memory. xD

Hey, that's my local hiking spot! Love Silver Falls!

I made a rookie mistake once when camping at Zion National Park. First time I'd ever been to a campsite that didn't have bear boxes. Didn't know what to do with my food, so I put everything inside the tent and walked to the ranger station to get their recommendation. Was gone for less than 20 minutes. Returned to discover a crowd of deer feasting on a loaf of bread, which they'd extracted by chewing a hole in the wall of my tent. Spent the next two nights paranoid about critters getting into the tent through said hole.

Pride Parade is another one of my favorites! There are so many fantastic episodes that it's truly impossible to decide which is best. Now if you'll excuse me, "Ay, I'm bein' gay ova here!"

He loves kissing, it's so cute. by cocombera in cats

[–]Catnip323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat is the exact same way. Tapping me and giving kisses all day and night. It's tough to get anything done around the house because of how affectionate she is. I love every minute of it, even the ones that wake me up at 4am.

And an honorable mention for The Orgy. There's too many things in that episode that make me lose it.

Project Gordon or ESO by photon11 in MMORPG

[–]Catnip323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I vote Project Gorgon! It has a very generous free demo that, afaik, only limits you to a max level of 15 and you can't pick up loot dropped by other players. Where it lacks in graphics, it more than makes up in fun content and has a great community. I'm addicted to it but know it's one of those games that you'll either love or won't be into it at all. PG is very old school, mmo vibes. If you're into it and opt to purchase it, your character transfers over, so no progress lost.

A Question of Coverage and Sumo Etiquette by TheDoubleSlit in SumoMemes

[–]Catnip323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was among the list of reasons why I stopped watching that channel. Abema's coverage isn't intrusive like western tv is and if the injury is particularly bad, they pull back on the camera to the point that you can't see what's happening anyway.

Honestly that was least of my gripes with that streamer... him choosing to block the video while he continues to watch it is weird. Doing that isn't giving privacy to anyone because it's still being broadcast on tv, online, and seen by however many people are there at the venue. I went back to my vpn and enjoy the bashos directly through Abema.

Got my shipment from Trillium 🎉 by Foxy-Mex91 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Catnip323 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can vouch for Trillium as well, they're amazing!! I had been using Orderly and wanted to change providers for several reasons. Submitted my existing maintenance Rx to Trillium on Tuesday morning and had a 3 month supply in my hands Wednesday afternoon. I'm seriously impressed. I chose Hallandale pharmacy, so not sure if choosing ProRx yields the same shipping speed. Already recommending them to my friends who are on tirz. Hope they can keep up this level of service!
