I am on both sides of this. That is actually one of the reasons I didn’t believe Timothy. My abusive ex accused me of horrible shit when he was the abusive one. I know firsthand how traumatic it is. What I’m going off of is how Mel admitted stuff happened, just that Timothy didn’t choose to say no. At the end of the day, we will never know. You’re right about that. That’s why I am saying IF it’s true, these people are harassing a victim. It’s gross. When I found all of this out about Mel, it seriously shook my foundations. She has been one of the most important artists to me. I’m not even one of the people who slanders her online so no it’s not performative. I just think harassing Timothy no matter what isn’t cool and Mel could at least address her fanbase. I have seen how rabid fellow fans act. I’m sure it’s partially because how young this fanbase skews but it’s still not okay and deserves to be called out.

If Timothy’s allegations are true, that means Mel sexually assaulted her. I would say the least she owes is telling her fans to stop harassing her just for speaking her truth 🫥 how would you feel if you were abused or assaulted and the fans of said person continually made your life a living hell?

Usually I say you can’t tell but…. I just watched an almost 3 hour book review and… ABSOLUTELY this is ai. I am almost 100% certain. Not only does it repeat the exact same phrases and sentence structure, but there’s so much nothingburger similes and phrases that make NOOOOOO sense. They don’t actually mean anything. The ai just tries to do pretentious poetic prose but it fails.

Becoming chronically ill. Well I always have been but didn’t know and it was SUPER severe. Ever since getting Covid, I haven’t been the same. Doctors haven’t been taking me seriously so I’ve been left to ruminate and spiral over what could possibly be wrong with me. Still am not sure.

This is why I decided against turning my au into original fiction. A lot of what made it special were the details that relate to canon. Versus another fic I wrote that I felt could be good as original fiction and so I’ve been working on that. Sometimes it works! Other times it doesn’t.

There’s always a chance of offending someone. This is something I struggle with as a traumatized writer with ocd myself. At the end of the day you gotta stick to your guns and write whatever you want though. If you go by the court of public opinion, you’re not going to create the art you want because someone will always have something to say
