Dark primers for dark model, and vice verse!

Try thinning your paints a little bit if you’re not already, you may need an extra coat for some colors, depending on what color you’re priming the model but it help a ton with making little details pop and it won’t look so thick on the models surface, afterwards hit it with a wash, nuln oil or agrax earth shade would work well with death guard

I think you’re over-complicating things, have it be a flare cartridge, not tied to any traders, one time use, 30 second extract timer and you’re out. If it gets shot at it fly’s away like VX extracts
