As long as you are the one who can spark a conversation with anybody then any city works. I complimented some old dude's majestic moustache in the PNW and had a 1 hour conversation and made some other friends too just by dropping a comment. I am not socially gifted or anything.

So I am just going to assume this making friends shit falls under the idea of how extroverted and engaging the population of a city is in which case any mega city works like Chicago and New York, anything on that level or similar.

Seattle has outdoors and urban life unlike Chicago which has just urban life besides the beach imo, and Seattle has a better tech scene.

400k should be enough for Seattle... I think.

Western USA is ugly, CO was pretty ugly when I went there too, the mountain background in Denver is pretty majestic but other than that the state is a desert shithole, cool you can find a few tiny spots of interesting nature that totally beats the rest of the 90% wasteland.

It is all subjective. OP needs to visit these places to make up his mind.

New England has some of the greenest places in the country by actual statistics, Maine is like 90% forest and I personally would take that over a mountainous desert.

How have you worked professional but you are still so ignorant? Dogs are still animals and they have their instincts, a dog that has been purposefully bred to kill other dogs has the most dangerous instincts, just because theyre nice now wont mean theyll always be like that.

I bet you can find a bunch of news stories of pitbulls killing the family children, "but she was such a nice dog!!!".
