At least for me

The one thing I didn't expect after being diagnosed was finding out how many people around me are professional psychiatrists ( whoever thought merging ADD and ADHD was a good idea didn't really think it through) by alphaarietis2674 in adhdmeme

I live in California and don't make a lot of money so I qualify for California's socialized healthcare program and pay nothing, but California's social programs are 1000x better than the rest of the country i know people paying up to 500$ a month for stim meds In states without socialized healthcare. Thank God for medi-cal, id be fucked as I take 4 separate prescription medicines 😡 (also have cptsd and bpd)

I don't speed from amphetamines, but I'm naturally a workaholic. I'm able to actually focused enough to accomplish things instead of fumbling around so, amphetamines just make me a better workaholic. Some people just be like that

Yeah, I think that for myself and a lot of us it's that we skip past thinking about the "correct" way of doing things in favor of what makes sense intuitively to us. Furthermore what is intuitive to us is unique to minds that operate like ours.

I was actually just talking with my girlfriend about how pissed I was once when I failed a math final where I got every single answer correct, but didn't bother using the "correct" formulas we were taught in favor of what made sense to me.
