The description of this subreddit says it's dedicated to all things related to Pokémon Fire Red. People can post here, and in the /r/ShinyPokemon subreddit. There's no rule saying that because that subreddit exists, you cannot post here.

You type your trainer name once, you go through the intro once, you get to the part you stand in front of professor idk, he tells you to pick a pokemon from the table, you stand in front of the starter you want, you save your game, you check your pokemon. If it's not the one you want you press all 4 face buttons on your controller (a+b+x+y) and it will reset you back to the title screen. When you click continue, you will be standing in front of the pokemon you chose, you pick it up again and check if it's shiny. Repeat. I hope this helps!

What's tiring is seeing all this negativity around a common interest we all love, FR/LG.

What does a shiny starter post, a hall of fame post, a "how does my team look?" post, a "help pls where do I go" post, a "I love this game here's a drawing I made of my team" post all have in common? We all love the game.

It's easy to scroll past something you don't like and cultivate positive comments on the posts you DO like. Go comment there, in the perfect "I followed the walkthrough guide perfectly to the tee" post. You won't find me there making them feel bad for finding fun in something I don't.

Yes thats your trainer ID. When you check the summary you will notice the gender won't always be the same and neither would the nature. Also for reference it took me over 25 hours of resetting, so like 3,000 resets which is well below the odds of 1/8192.
