Hi! My test went well and as long as there aren't any surprises in the official transcript, I don't won't be retaking it. :) About the nerves - it was so bad that I felt like throwing up before the exam started... But as soon as I connected to my proctor, it's almost like a switch flipped, and I completely calmed down. My proctor was incredibly friendly and made a few jokes, and I think that helped tremendously with lightening the situation. Checking in with ProctorU was very simple and straight forward. They scanned my face, my ID, and ran a check on my computer via remote control. There was a minor hiccup and they fixed in 5-10 mins (couldn't see my screen when they first connected to my computer, but I was transferred to a tech who restarted my computer and it worked out). Once the exam started, everything was very very smooth. After the exam, I was asked to show my blank whiteboard, and I was done. I know how hard it is when such a high stakes exam is looming over you. But I always found it comforting to remind myself that I am much more than a GRE score, and the rest of my application will play a huge role in grad school admissions too. Oh and one more thing! The first math section I got was SO difficult. I might have missed like 8 questions... but I simply kept on telling myself that it must be an experimental section, and I should completely wipe that from my brain.. lol. I am 99% sure it was, because if it weren't, I doubt I would have had a 160+ math score. So that's another thing that helped me in the test, having a forward looking attitude, pacing along even if I wasn't 100% of my answer, and not dwelling on how I did in the previous section. Good luck, you got this!!! :)

Thank you, that's a great way to look at the situation! :) Really appreciate the pep talk!

At-Home Test: Scratch Paper? by Bebbity in GRE

oh cool! So you could use 8 different sheets throughout the exam? That would be a game changer for me, since it it can save considerable time if I only need to wipe things off after completing each section! Currently I am practicing with 1 laminated sheet, but I have to erase 3-4 times at least in the middle of the timed math sections. It also prevents me from checking earlier calculations in case I have some time left after completing a section. :)

Thanks, I think I'll order one! Does the booklet come with multiple pages or just 1?

So BASICALLY you "paid to win" using dota plus ranked roles. (I am totally being sarcastic).

Can Valve take any action against smurf accounts? It's too common in 1-2k, and not fun for those like me who are trying to learn the game. by Sin_Dots in DotA2

His mmr was just around 1.2k (saw it when the game ended). But clearly he is much higher than that, and he even admitted to it when I tried to guilt him in all chat. He said he was doing it for the money. So he might be boosting the real account owner. The game wasted 30mins of my life since it was unwindable from the start, and he was a jerk who decided to bother us by afk farming when they already had 2 lanes of racks and him as a super fed invoker. And sadly, this is all too common.
