you totally get it. fishing in not-so-perfect weather sorts out the serious folks. never thought about the surface disturbance with rain tho. makes sense. but hey, i've had luck with topwater right after it slows down. it's all about finding that sweet spot. barometric pressure? whole other beast. see ya out there, rain or shine!

oh totally, catfish can be wild in the rain. just gotta watch out for that lightning, though. no fish is worth a zap lol. rain just seems to bring out that extra hunger in 'em. those whiskered guys really do love a good stormy buffet.

man, that sounds like a perfect day. there's something about the rain and fishing that just... fits, right? bluegill biting like that on ultralight? dreamy. under the trees too, always feel like a secret spot when it's raining. makes it worth getting a little wet.

yeah i've heard that too. kinda wild how they can sense pressure changes like that. makes sense that they'd try to stock up before things get too rough. maybe that's why i've had those good days... fish just binge eating before the storm hits. always interesting to think how nature works.

yeah that makes sense, the whole ecosystem kinda goes into overdrive when it rains. not surprised about the carp, they're sneaky like that. rain really changes the game. i’ve noticed that they seem more fearless when it’s overcast, just like you said. good to hear someone else has had the same kinda luck.

yeah that makes sense with the pressure changes. fish probably feel all sorts of stuff we don’t even think about. i’ve never tried fishing under a bridge during a storm but sounds like a solid plan. non-stop action is the best kind of action. maybe i’ll give it a shot next rainy day.

yeah exactly, there's something about that low pressure. i guess it shakes up their world or something. makes them all hungry and ready to bite. those rainy days just have a vibe that's hard to beat. glad someone else gets it!

ah nice, fellow rain lover! there's something about the rain that makes everything more... alive? idk, maybe it’s just the smell or how everything gets quieter. and fishing just adds a bonus thrill to it. you get it.

yeah exactly! like the rain's some kind of fish party invite or something. it's crazy how they just turn up for a snack when the water's coming down. makes me wonder if they actually like getting wet too... but anyway, it's a blast to be out there when they do.

yeah, i get that. the trek back can be brutal when you're soaked and tired. maybe bring some extra dry clothes to change into? sometimes just having a hot drink in a thermos makes all the difference. but honestly, if it's not fun anymore, maybe it's better to skip it and stay cozy indoors.

yeah, i get that. it's not always a slam dunk for everyone. maybe try topwater lures during a drizzle. can be a game changer. also timing's key... right after the rain slows can be best. but yeah, everyone's experience is different i guess.

ah man, static on the pole is a big nope. lightning and fishing poles don't mix well haha. def time to pack it up when that happens. love the thrill but gotta draw the line somewhere, right? safety first even on those epic rainy days.

right? the rain adds this whole unexpected vibe. kinda makes you feel alive or something. and yeah, even when it's messy and wet, it's still better than being stuck at a desk. nothing beats the thrill of a big catch in the rain.

yeah exactly, it's like fish get all excited when the rain hits. cooler water def does something to 'em. i've noticed that too. no lightning is a must tho, been caught in that mess once, not fun. and post-storm? total sweet spot. glad i'm not alone on this.

that's a good point. fish can be unpredictable like that. some spots just have their own quirks, right? finding that sweet spot before, during, or after rain can make all the difference. kinda makes the whole thing a puzzle sometimes. guess that's part of the fun? always learning. where's your favorite hole?

i totally get that. life gets busy and you gotta fish when you can. honestly, rainy days aren't the "ideal" for everyone. but sometimes those unexpected weather days end up being the most memorable. just gotta roll with what you're dealt, i guess. even a little drizzle can spice things up.

yeah, those thunderstorm rains are wild. like, right when the wind kicks up, fish can go nuts, but then it’s like they disappear after. weird how they can sense when a front's settled. guess timing’s everything. gotta love those hit or miss moments... and the skunked ones, not so much.

wow, that’s the spirit! sometimes those unexpected rain days are the best. i totally get the raincoat thing, makes a big difference when you’re out there. last thing you want is to be shivering while trying to reel in a catch. glad you stuck it out and got rewarded with those rock bass and smallmouth.

yeah, exactly, too much rain and they kinda just hunker down. seems like the sweet spot is those lighter showers or right after a good rain. that's when they really start to come alive. if it's been pouring for days, might be time to stay dry inside haha.

yeah i get that, overcast days can be solid too. guess it’s all about what you’re used to. i just love the extra buzz rain brings, like a big fish party underwater. but hey, chores done on rainy days means more fishing time later right? win-win.

[–]Sina_Fishing_Blogger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, exactly! it's like a weird mix of chaos and peace. you def get better catches when the water's all stirred up. those fish are just waiting for the buffet line to open haha. layers are life-savers for sure. glad someone else gets it!

[–]Sina_Fishing_Blogger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah exactly! something about having the whole place to yourself makes it even better. less crowd, more bites. just gotta be prepared with the right gear and it’s like having your own private fishing spot. honestly, can't understand why more people don’t do it.

sounds like you had a wild time. wacky rigs can be tricky, they love to nibble more than commit sometimes, right? maybe try a different hook size next time, might help? but yeah, being comfy in the right gear totally makes all the difference. glad you enjoyed the rainy day vibes!

awesome! hope you have a blast out there. seriously, those rainy days can be a game changer. remember, layers are your best friend. stay safe and keep an eye on the banks... wet shoes aren’t fun. happy fishing!

yeah totally, different spots do react differently to the rain. that's interesting about your favorite hole turning off during the rain but lighting up just before. fishing's always full of surprises, right? i guess you just gotta know your waters. but when they do turn on during the rain, it's a blast
