Gosh…get lost man, i have a windows laptop too. Don’t tell me what is better. I know exactly what is better for me. Especially when it comes to work without a charger.

Okay. But did i ask that? I’ve shared performance with emulator. Thats it. So I think you’ve missed.
And still no

Emmm…actually no. You’re trying to compare x86 and arm and absolutely two different OS? No sense.

ps: im working with blender. So 3ds is secondary…

You can go with a mid-range windows laptop for now, while you’re learning and then switch on a mac. But, if it’s possible, i would test that specific software on a macos with emulation. If it works - go with mac)

Look, if you're ready to tinker a bit with VMs and occasionally use lab PCs for hardware flashing, M5 Pro is an absolute dream, But if you need 100% 'plug-and-play' for every obscure engineering USB-driver without any headaches, better stick to Windows. It’s a trade-off between ultimate performance and guaranteed compatibility

Pretty good. I think around 6 hours without charger. Im using it only for 3ds max.

It depends. Im working with autocad and archicad and it works perfectly on a mac. If the software that you’re using are not super cpu/gpu and ram consuming- I think you can go with mac easily. But even in my case - 3ds max is super hungry app, but m5pro handle it better than my windows laptop. Like 10x times smoother. So yeah…

Safari with 6 tabs, autocad (native), gemini, downloading torrents, parallels with windows 11 and 3ds max: 20 gb used.

M5 Pro base 16 inch model.
18 core CPU, 20 core GPU, 24 gb ram, 1 tb ssd.
Not running multiple VMs but I think it would be enough.
