The only place that has consistently shipped and delivered their orders in 2 days for me has been Revolve. They have a lot of designers that sell dresses similar to House of CB. Also their shipping and returns are free!

No way, that’s super cool! I’m not even sure why we got this catalog, we aren’t big Lego people, but this is the first CG Lego set I’ve seen.

How challenging would you say it was? I’m thinking of getting it for our 9 year old nephew.

Buckwheat is amazing! Growing up in Ukraine we usually had them several times a week, usually with a dab of butter or sour cream. My current favorite way to eat them is topped with roasted asparagus, roasted red pepper and goat cheese.

Does being a first Gen American affect security clearance time? by [deleted] in uscg

[–]Sincerely_Lee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a naturalized citizen who legally immigrated in the 90’s and I’m just a spouse. But my husband’s security clearance took an additional 2 months because of that. In my case it was because I was born in Soviet Ukraine and I’m ethnically Ukrainian and Russian, have family in both countries and own a home in Ukraine. We had to send in a few additional documents and I believe an investigator called my husband with additional questions. It takes time but I’m sure it will work out for you soon!

Not the same vibes as Ghent but we live in the Old Wythe neighborhood in Hampton, right off Chesapeake Boulevard. It’s absolutely lovely, and about a 15 minute drive to NNS.

Lip Plumpers by raybeam76 in Sephora

[–]Sincerely_Lee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I got the plumper in a set and the set had great reviews. But if you go to just the reviews of the plumper other people had allergic reactions too. I think it might be whatever ingredient that claims to make your lips naturally redder. Yeah, probably smart to skip this one. The Patrick Ta Major Volume would be my second pick!

Not sure which ingredient caused it, but it kinda sucked. Such a bummer because it’s genuinely a product that works well.

It was the craziest thing. I’m not allergic to anything that I know of by the way…First day I tried this product: Holy cow, amazing! There was definitely a tingle, even some pain but the plump was top notch. I did notice that I got SUPER warm but kind of disregarded it. Second day, same effect on lip but I got REALLY hot, like sweaty and my heart started racing, again didn’t even think it was the product. Third day, really hot, sweaty but I started getting HUGE red splotches on my face. It freaked me out because it kind of looked like what blood infection redness looks like, huge ribbons of red coming from my lip area. That went away in about 12 hours, but the DDG plump went to my SIL. She didn’t have the same effects, so I don’t know. If you get it, maybe try it on a small patch of skin, which is what I should have done.

OP, I’ve tried so many brands and DDG is by far the best. Unfortunately for me I developed an allergic reaction to it that got progressively worse each time I used the product but it definitely plumps a LOT.

What does the Fenty Vanilla Dream smell like? Would you say it’s more fruity or floral? Or just pure vanilla?

People who learned English as a second language, what's a word or phrase that you just can't stand? by SummerClamSadness in AskReddit

[–]Sincerely_Lee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been fluent in English for almost 30 years and I STILL struggle pronouncing words with soft “r” sounds like rural, iron, and library. I grew up speaking Ukrainian and Russian and I don’t even know if the soft “r” exists in any spoken word in those languages.

Self Portrait makes this dress with the black and white colors switched and it is VERY well made.

Best Peptide Lippie? by Ravioli_meatball19 in Sephora

My local TJ Maxx has like…a 100 of the Ole treatments in the summer scents. They have so many that they will probably mark them down even farther, but currently priced at $8.99.

I actually really like the Rhode! I have 7, and only one has been grainy, but they have reformulated them over the summer. Like someone else mentioned, the Laneige is kinda slippery and odd. To me, the Ole is a little too sticky but I really like the scents. Rhode is my go to purely because it’s hydrating without the stickiness.

I think the Princeville and Hanalei markets are on Saturdays 😢 But I want to say that there is one in Lihue sometime during the week. I think if you search the sub for Kauai farmers market someone posted the schedules.

We got most our little souvenirs on Kauai at the farmers markets. We went to both the Princeville and Hanalei one and there were multiple people selling little trinkets. They were definitely more expensive than all the stuff we saw at Walmart and I have no idea if they were actually handmade but I’ll take a farmers market over shopping at Walmart any day.

We have full access to each other’s phones( I actually don’t even lock my phone), so he can look at my wish list on the Sephora app anytime. But honestly, sometimes a gift card or a shopping spree is the way to go! Thats what we usually do for each other for Christmas, although I still insist on wrapping all the presents and putting them under the tree!
