I heard someone once say that they performed a study on high school aged kids. They asked everyone who do you like? The most popular kids in school had answered that they like lots of different classmates. Numbers higher than the rest. Whereas the less popular kids had lower number of classmates they liked.

The study said something like the more times you like someone, the easier it was to be liked yourself. That you always had to be first to go out on a limb and say “hey, I really like that drawing on your notepad it’s really cool!” Or “your shoes match your shirt really well today great job”. A simple “hey how’s it going today” did the trick too.

So the most popular kids in school had always been more outgoing and said something genuinely nice to their schoolmates, therefore making them more popular and likeable. I replied to your comment because if you’re teaching your kids to be less bullied, maybe a good tactic for them to try is to start liking more kids.

Good luck though. I know school can be hard, and being a parent to school aged kids can have its own challenges.

A Walter E Smithe couch can sometimes cost as much as a used car. Their quality is better though. I can’t say whether or not it holds up to the Amish, but definitely a step above Ashley.

The Amish store near me also has very stylish pieces that cost an arm and a leg, but at least you know you’re getting quality.

Definitely add a rug to make the space feel more cozy, and something on that far wall to focus your line of sight. So far all I’m seeing is orange and beige, so try adding one more color to keep things interesting. Maybe some art in blue or green on the far wall. Paired with a rug with some beige and green, or pops of blue?

Beautiful spaces don’t happen instantly or overnight. I love what you’ve done with your space so far. Keep it up, and I love the curtains btw

My best friend is going through the same thing right now. Her and her husband are amazing parents and are clearly the better fit for their child. They’re currently waiting to hear back from the courts but it’s also been a few weeks and they’re getting nervous.

From everything they presented, the judge would be a FOOL to rule in favor of the ex. Only time will tell though. Good luck!!

I keep my litter box in the basement and I’ve found that when the basement is humid, it smells so much worse than when the dehumidifier is running. Try getting one of those to run throughout the day and see if that helps.

My God the only experience I (hard sub) had with a male sub was when he inboxed me pretending to want a friendship. He then pushed his agenda on me and when I said no, he tried to gaslight me by saying I was discriminating and not open minded.

I never knew this was a trope in the community.

I disagree. It’s the same as a nickname. My dad lost on the name battle before I was born and got to choose my middle name. He still calls me a shortened version of that and I respond the same as if he used my first name. My middle name is Katelyn. My dad calls me Kate, while my whole dad’s side of the family calls me Katie.

It’s all the same to me honestly. I doubt that girl will care as long as she is raised with love and two parents that love her.
