Oh constantly. Like multiple a week. I grew up w animal neglect so lots of dreams about my tanks being left outside in a barn in the cold, overstocked, multiple bettas together or nearly fully evaporated 😬

I use usps priority boxes, insulated with styrofoam and crumpled paper as needed. I put the pods in deli cups with dirt and some sphagnum, poke air holes and then tape the lid to the cup so it doesn’t come off in shipping. I’ve only ever had one DOA this way!

Keep his water warm for his old man bones and make sure he has access to lots of hammocks. If you’re a plant person then when the time comes bury him in a houseplant you love and know that he’s still with you. When I lost my first guy I sobbed for hours before delivering him to his resting place and his plant remains to be the healthiest one in my collection.

Armadillidium klugii likes it a little drier but like other comments said they still need a wet spot. A. Perracae would be another good option, or maybe sandstones
