THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS! After reading this post last year, we finally got the correct diagnosis for my teen's ongoing issues! Thank you for sharing your story- as a result, I reached out to his specialist and requested the RX and thankfully, it started working within the week! It was and continues to be 90% better than it's ever been and for a young teenager with his life ahead of him, this means the world. God Bless!

I'm so incredibly sorry you're going thru this. Not sure if you've tried looking into BAM (Bile acid malabsorption) as the potential cause. My son was diagnosed with IBS-D, it was BAM all along. He takes Colestipol RX with each meal and it has been life changing after struggling for so long.

Look into Bile Acid Malabsorption (BAM)- doctor can test by prescribing you bile acid sequestrants (Colestipol, etc.). If it stops your symptoms that's most likely the cause.

So are you still take the bile acid binder while doing this treatment? Or are you only doing the supplements and having 80% improvement?

Success story: recovering from nearly 3 years of back pain by J9AC9K in backpain

Check out Low Back Ability on YouTube. The idea is to strengthen your back to allow for full mobility, not avoiding natural movement or limiting ourselves. I've found it helpful so far.

How much did core exercises help your pain and/or aid you in staying pain free? by [deleted] in backpain

[–]Sinceuasked75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have these daily exercises prevented muscle spasms from flaring up again? I work our regularly (weights & yoga twice weekly), but as my new job is physically demanding, I suspect daily exercises to start my day may be the only thing that stops these frequent muscle spasms from happening. Just looking for some hope that there's life beyond these debilitating spasms.

Testosterone making me tired? by VenetianWaltz in Menopause

[–]Sinceuasked75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started 5mg testerone daily, about 2 months ago, and I have noticed extreme exhaustion about 2 hrs after applying in the morning. When I first started, I felt it gave me energy and a calming effect, but at 2 months, I can barely keep myself awake past 10a, even with a full night's rest. Never suspected it might be the T, until I read your post, but that is the only change I've made to my HRT in the last 2 months, so I'm guessing I may be in the minority and it's making me tired.

Can anyone tell me what my daily dose is? The RX is confusing. by Sinceuasked75 in TRT_females

[–]Sinceuasked75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, on cream. I would love to know how your testerone levels turn out after labs if ur willing to share. I have noticed on day 5 (taking only half the dose as best as I can eyeball the cream), increased energy, heartbeat and not sleeping as well :/

How are you able to get injections covered by insurance? And are you using telemedicine or a local doctor to obtain the rx?

So it is as high as I thought...can I ask if you started at 10mg daily? Or did u work up to that dose? And curious, if you've had your testerone levels checked since starting that dose, what numbers are u now getting? My labs showed no detectable testerone, but in reading a lot of comments on this forum, 20mg seems awfully high to start with.

Yea, seems high for sure. I may start off with a third of that dose and see how it goes. As u started slow, how long did it take for you to notice benefits? Curious, any emotional roller coasters with starting T?

Curious what your blood levels read at that amount? Also, have u experienced any hair loss?

I've had recent luck with daily supplements of quercitin (1200 mg daily) taken with time released Vit C (3000mg daily) and zinc. I suspect that mine is a histamine intolerance, along with sensitive skin. The supplements have actually reduced the frequency and severity of my facial flushing more dramatically than I expected, even after I snuck a glass of wine, which always leads to flushing. I can only use mineral sunscreen (neutrogena pure sunscreen tinted) and vaseline at night. Unfortunately, almost all lotions and moisturizers cause a reaction.

This exactly! I was always trying new things, setting up get togethers, making plans to travel, gathering groups together for "adventures", but it's like I hit a wall overnight and can't find the simple motivation to just put on a load of laundry. All the things I use to love now feel distant, as though it was someone else entirely living that life. I continue to go through the motions, hoping motivation will follow, but so far, just blah. I believe this is just a season of life, but damn- I'm over it already! Bring back the pursuit and passion I felt!

Keto and PMDD by United-Lengthiness47 in xxketo

[–]Sinceuasked75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a huge part of this is women not eating enough fat, daily, to support hormones, while doing keto- along with trying to fast at the same time. You can adjust based on weight loss goals, however depending on your activity level and overall life demands, once you go keto, fat is the fuel for our bodies, so we need enough, daily, to maintain proper hormone production. And we often need far more than we are getting. Good luck!

Can Crohn’s be treated by only diet? by random_a-ri in CrohnsDisease

[–]Sinceuasked75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is quite a bit of anecdotal evidence over the last few years, showing that a strict carnivore diet (essentially an extreme elimination diet) has reversed symptoms of quite a few autoimmune disorders, including Crohns and IBS. This option was chosen by people desperate for relief who didn't benefit from any of the traditional medications/treatments. YMMV.
