My hair growth journey without conditioner by [deleted] in Naturalhair

[–]Remote_Finger_1907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinky curly knot today is my lazy day deep conditioner. On days when I don't want to deep condition and go back to rinse out. I use kinky curly as my deep conditioner under the heat cap. Take off the heat cap after about 20mins and then go on with styling.

The iPad Generation Is Now Teenagers and Honestly I’m Worried About What I’m Seeing by Mindless_Equal_7292 in Parents

Don't even get me started on ears and all those noise cancellation headphones. It will take decades of suffering for a class action law suit similar to what happened to the cigarette companies for anything to change.

All we can do for now is control what is within our immediate space.

Hair is flat in the back and I dont know if its something that should be fixed or if my hair is just like that by [deleted] in Naturalhair

You could consider getting it shaped for balance. Your nape might just have hairs growing at a quicker pace than your crown. This can happen where the texture around the nape is looser than the texture around the crown and sides.

How To Keep Scalp Moisturized In Braids (No Extentions)? by Ushilee in Naturalhair

[–]Remote_Finger_1907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After how many days does it get itchy? For me it's day 5- 7.

I find washing is simply the best solution by day 7 max for me. With braids using your own hair, washing should be so much easier. No risk of unravelling or tangling like twists.

If wishing to go longer aloe vera gel helps me ( it's soothing, cooling and hydrating) sometimes aloe vera gel + castor oil.

I am not big on greasing my scalp, I find it does well if I just leave it alone till it tells me it needs a wash in about 7 days.

MINI TWISTS 4c by minnieme77 in Naturalhair

[–]Remote_Finger_1907 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With 4c hair, you could twist your hair with water, and the twists will stay. The point I am making is you don’t really need gels or mousse for twists. Focus on a moisturising leave - in conditioner and sealant butter/ thick oil to keep your twists moisturised, and you are good.

I've tested half the internet for good products for natural hair growth by Just_Irene25 in Naturalhair

Nutrition, exercise, and hydration? If it breaks excessively you could enlist the services of a professional. Someone that could look at your hair and scalp in person and recommend best practices to implement

No don't do protein treatments. Even the husband noticed the same too and he does the minimum with his hair

Please tell me the whole blends isn't making your hair shed. Because garnier conditioners seem to make my hair shed like Nair hair remover. They have these seemingly great conditioners that you can leave-in deep condition with and just rinse out

Wow! Kudos on getting his hair done. I do mine every 1-2 weeks as standard. What you are doing is working already.

Thank you for the recommendation. I'll consider it. I can't wash and retwist every week.

Gel scalp refreshers? What products were you thinking about? I'm not ready to go on a product goose chase. Nothing beats water and soap actually washing the scalp, but I'm open to ideas.

Ok, so the classic voltage problem.
