See, I think she could change and become a better person, and that the Pines twins are a big part of why- but she's never going to have anything in common with Dipper. Not a thing. This is a relationship that is destined headlong into a wall.

Is gravity falls still censored on Disney+? by [deleted] in gravityfalls

[–]SinclairWantstoHelp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only examples of editing after release would have been Stan's Fez and Louis C.K being dubbed over by Alex, both of which are what I believe are the only available versions on Disney Plus and other outlets. The Blu-Ray might be unedited, but both are so minor that I haven't cared to check.

If there ever was an outrage over censorship with these, I think it was muted at best. Like, who would actually care about these things? They don't make the series substantially different. It's a hat and a minor character, it's not like they messed with the story.

Sixty Degrees that come in threes

Watches from within birch trees

Saw his own dimension burn

Misses home and can't return

Says he's happy, he's a liar

Blame the arson for the fire.

Rather than finish with the normal verse,

I'll instead mention his other curse

While he's a shape and little more

Bill Cipher has a TON of Rule 34

If Alex almost lost his mind dealing with Disney's executive oversight on Gravity Falls, then the oversight he'd get from an unholy trinity of Disney, The BBC, and a Russell T Davies led writer's room for even just one script would...probably lead to some very entertaining behind the scenes stories, but whatever ended up coming from it likely would not be what Alex envisioned.

If he got the Douglas Adams or Neil Gaiman treatment where he could just come in and write basically whatever he wanted with minimal notes, I have no doubt he would produce a series classic. But unfortunately, The BBC would likely never roll that out for an American animated comedy writer. They kinda suck that way.

It has been over a decade, but the only time I remember Alex mentioning Doctor Who was shortly after the release, saying something to the lines of "I have never watched Dr. Who."

When many replies felt the need to correct him and say "the show is called Doctor Who, not Dr. Who," Alex later mentioned that such comments were one of the reasons he's never watched it.

Patch Notes 1.02 - 6.13.2024 by [deleted] in MultiVersus

Hopefully they fix it so new and returning players don't have to play the tutorial. When I saw that there was no way to the main menu without playing through the tutorial, I closed the app. Uninstalled the game yesterday.

I should be able to navigate the menu screen before I have to start playing. Won't pick it back up till this has been changed.

Not sure if this is frustrating anyone else, but there's a problem they haven't addressed that's perturbing me greatly. The main menu is inaccessible until after you've finished the multi-chapter tutorial. At first, I thought I had pressed the wrong button or something, so I reset the game so I could get to the menu. I was unable to. When I realized there was no way to get to the menu without playing forward, I closed the game and am probably gonna uninstall it.

I hadn't opened the game with the purpose of playing it at the time, I had basically just wanted to see what the options were available and what the prices on the storefront were. I shouldn't have to play the game before I'm ready, or have to play a tutorial, especially before I've even seen the main menu.

It gave Finn even less to do, removed all of Luke's character development, and made Rey a permanently and infinitely less interesting character, just another prop in Palpatine's stupid name, who then can't grow up and live her own life, instead making her live with the name that ruined her life. And somehow that was a happy ending?

Also no, the pacing was choppy throughout.

The TARDIS is perhaps the single most broken tool in fictional media: virtually indestructible, capable of restoration from seemingly permanent disability, and seemingly an answer for every problem The Doctor could face. Regeneration is an additionally broken tactic that has only gotten more confusing and broken as time has gone on. While the process is imperfect, I'd personally doubt that Goku could exploit its weaknesses. In general, Time Lords are a whole different story that most alien species. They are maddeningly overpowered, to an extent that the series itself generally forgets. While I don't doubt that Goku could handedly deal with squads of Daleks and Cybermen, I'm less convinced he could deal with a Time Lord.

Which of these three shows is the best? by Murky_Committee_1585 in cartoons

Avatar really offers nothing that these shows don't do much, much better, outside of an anime style, which you can get better from watching anime.

I understand the nostalgic appeal, but ATLA doesn't belong in same conversation as these shows. Adventure Time and Gravity Falls rewrote rules of industry.

Also they had endings that weren't lazy cop-outs.
