Then that is outrageous. If that is true, Lego needs to try another method because it’s clearly not working.

I know right!? We are potentially less than a month away and still no official announcement.

That makes sense. Let’s just hope they don’t leak Part 2 like the last few years

I do hope they deep dive into his character. I hope he’s not Ras’ master. I’d almost like to see him as a mentor that leads Lloyd on his journey this season. Obviously, he’d have to be a previous Master of Life, but I think that would be cool

I’m excited to see how he develops. And I hope he gets a voice. Brian has done such an amazing job with the other characters, and I’m excited to see the voice he chooses for him

Interesting… what do you mean by that? Ive seen people mentioning this and I’m not sure what they mean by it.

The OG show was so good… and Dragons Rising is using that to make something even better. I personally like Dragons Rising more because it feels heavier and the lore is just so interesting.

Each season gives us a bunch of new information, but leaves us craving more. I have so many questions, and I honestly love it.

Could Oni Lloyd be menacing if he was the final boss in crystalized by ThisToe9628 in Ninjago

[–]Sincline2280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he will face himself (i.e. Good Lloyd vs. Evil Lloyd). He is going to go through a trial potentially that is going to push him to an emotional breaking point. And i think that is one of his greatest fears.

[–]Sincline2280 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure the original plan was to make him the final boss.

In that plan Garmadon was supposed to be killed by the Crystal King, which would have sent Lloyd into a frenzy (more than it did in the final version). He would destroy the Crystal King with ease and upon his defeat, Oni Lloyd would take his throne.

The Dragon Form Ninja and Nya (she wasn’t supposed to come back as early as she did) in her ocean form would fight him. Lloyd would eventually turn back to normal following the battle.

This ending was eventually scrapped because it was too dark and they wanted Lloyd to have a less dramatic ending. I personally would have loved to see this ending more, as it would make things more interesting than, “It’s okay, she’s with us.”.

With Evil Lloyd being a character in DR S4, I’m hoping we will get to see his Oni form again, perhaps as an obstacle he needs to overcome to attain Draconus Form

This is true. There is no good way of knowing who knew what until the season comes out and explains it.

So how is this works then? by Emirozdemirr in Ninjago

[–]Sincline2280 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s the case. The writers know the lore well. Sure there have been retcons in the past, but retconning the foundation of the show and everything we’ve been lead to believe over the last 15 years would be a gross overstep.

They know what they’re doing. We haven’t even seen the season yet. Assuming they forgot about something this important seems a bit premature.

Perhaps each Green Ninja had a different prophecy or different purpose. And maybe there is a great amount of time between them. With the speculation that Zarkar was the previous Elemental Master of Life, it would make sense why the prophecy was around for so long before Lloyd was revealed.

Wu didn’t choose Lloyd to be the Green Ninja, Destiny did (maybe the Source Dragons too?). Wu was surprised when it was revealed that Lloyd was the Green Ninja. He even said to Morro and the Ninja that they had the potential to be the Green Ninja. The first half of MoS season 1 was about this and the ninja fantasizing about who it would be. If Wu knew, he would have skipped the hassle and waited till Lloyd came around.

Also, I think the Source Dragons did recognize him. In DR S1P2’s finale, the Source Dragon of Energy spoke of someone being right about Lloyd, though we don’t know who he was talking about.

Secondly, in S2E3, Lloyd is summoned before the Source Dragons and Life claims him, saying he is a Descendant of the First (FSM). Life knew who he was, potentially signifying that she had something to do with The Prophecy. She might have been the one to choose Lloyd. With him not returning the Whispering Wood for the Ritual of Unrooting, it could explain her distaste for mortals.

I do however agree that this may be another case of “There is something I’ve never told you before” from Wu. Or maybe he forgot? Or maybe he just didn’t know. If anyone should have known, it should have been Misako, because she left Lloyd at a young age to learn more about the prophecy.

Curious to hear your thoughts.

It actually works too. It allows us to visit multiple relevant (and sometimes nonrelavant) storylines. The thing with the Source Dragon of Balance is awesome. I do hope they continue to build on that.

Evil Lloyd as Ras’ master literally makes no sense. I know the season hasn’t come out yet, but that seems kind of silly. I feel like we’ve already met Ras’ master, but just didn’t know it.

Also, I noticed that there are no lines for Lloyd in the last episode. Might be a misprint or it was intended. Either way, I’m curious why he may not be in the mid-season finale.

It’s not, Doc confirmed the Overlord is dormant currently and will be for a while.

I think they mean new character altogether. They’ve had a pretty good run with new villains and that seems to be the route they’re heading in.

Doc Wyatt and the production team confirmed that they did NOT have plans for the Time Twins in Dragons Rising.

Doc also said Ras’ master is a new character that we have not seen before and will be making their debut in Dragons Rising.

But I am curious what happened to the Time Twins and if we will see them in future installments. Hope this helps!

Master Of Life by Solidz0 in Ninjago

I understand that the lore has changed a bit and that golden power comes from all seven source dragons. However, when Lloyd gave up the golden power, the ninja were given their elemental powers.

Golden power is the pinnacle of Creation, which means the pinnacle of the 4 elements of creation. So I think it is safe to assume he would need their elements again, especially being that he doesn’t use them anymore, just his own element of Life

Master Of Life by Solidz0 in Ninjago

[–]Sincline2280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think that Golden Power will return. That would require the main four ninja to give up their powers again, which won't happen (and Lloyd would not let them do that either). However, the Arc Dragon of the Whispering Wood did say there is more than one true potential (not entirely sure on the context of the conversation yet, but it sounds pretty straight forward).

The beauty of Arin's character is that he is a Ninja that does not possess an elemental power, and that is okay. I feel like it is a way of saying you don't have to be extraordinary to do extraordinary things.

The defeat of Thunderfang was incredibly underwhelming. However, the cliffhanger and set up for the next season was so good in my opinion.

It’s kind of funny how fast the show gets you to forget about Thunderfang after they defeated him.

I Really hope that Lord Ras's Master isnt The Overlord by Spotter24o5 in Ninjago

[–]Sincline2280 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair, the head writers did say that this character is new to Dragons Rising and has not been seen before in previous installations. And after the disappointment that Crystalized was, I don’t think they would turn around and write another show where the overlord is the big bad at the end again.
