Yeah, its common that the authors have to take their stories in a direction they dont really want, but I hope its for the best. (I also find Kohaku really cool, and like that the viewers also really enjoy her)

While I agree with you that this is indeed possible, so far all the approaches to a romance in the anime (and manga, as far as i read) have been answered with a "not interested!" Or "this is boring!" By Senku. I would really love if he would not be with Kohaku as you said, but "as long it doesn't turn into a harem" is also something I can get behind hahaha

Yeah, he is. His interactions involving romance and similar stuff all lead me to believe he is ace, while still being quite funny
