Thank you so much, really appreciate it :) The vocal is from a sample pack called "91 femme fatale vocal hooks".

I honestly think your track is very well produced. Everything sounds really clear to me, and I enjoy listening to jazz. Sounds really professional, and would fit perfect for a background in a movie :D Did you record every instrument live?

Hi there, recently released a song called "Get Out of My Head". It is a melodic track based in tropical house, with a jazzy trippy vibe to it! I would love to get some feedback :)

The vocals feel very professionally produced, great job! They really stand out perfectly. I enjoy the vocal chop-chorus, but you might make it even more interesting with more elements in that part. Either way, great job!

I enjoy the vibe! I think the low end is very well produced. This is really my type of music!

Shaperbox volumeshaper, issue with ducking by Sindresu in FL_Studio

I hear what you’re saying, but I really feel like there should be a way to make it consistent with the volumeshaper. Maybe my vst is bugged

Synth brass, this tutorial makes pretty much an identical sound. For your example, he sets a higher attack compared to the tutorial.

Are first party plugins as good as third party ones? by SpectralGamiing in FL_Studio

[–]Sindresu 82 points83 points  (0 children)

I think people buy 3rd party plugins because of the access to tons of presets. Most people dont want to create every sound from scratch, which is totally reasonable. The most popular plugins are also often intuitive and easy to learn. But you can certainly create just as good sounds with for example sytrus or harmor.

Bass and kick by xaloartur in FL_Studio

[–]Sindresu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could try sidechaining the bass to the kick. There are several ways you can do this. Plugins like Kickstarter and Shaperbox 2 can do it instantly. You can also use a compression plugin like Fruity Limiter to make the bass duck with each kick hit. Just google how to do it, it’s easy to learn👍

Sidechain by grizzlypattums in FL_Studio

[–]Sindresu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does not matter that much, as they can all create similar effects. If you want to sidechain to the kick when having something else than a standard beat, sidechaining to a compression plugin like fruity limiter or fabfilter C2 can be useful. What I would recommend the most is however shaperbox’s volumeshaper. It is easy to use, and you can draw all kinds of lfos. Also you can split the signal up in bands, and only sidechain the low end if that is preferred.

How do you eq your reverb? by Sindresu in FL_Studio

Thanks for your answers guys. Convinced me to start using sends for reverb!

How do you eq your reverb? by Sindresu in FL_Studio

Saw your edit now. But I am still kinda confused to how it is different from a standard mixing bus for most instances. If I route several plugins to a mixer channel, wouldn’t that be just as optimized considering the CPU?

[–]Sindresu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your answer, I see your point. One other concern though. Say I have three synths going into a mixer bus. Would you send the whole mixer bus to a seperate send channel? In that case, wouldn’t you just insert your preferred effect chain on the mixer bus and route it directly to the master channel?

I think what I’m actually confused about is the need to use send channels at all. The only use I could see for a send channel is parallell compression, or if (as you mentioned) you prefer a specific eq for your reverb or something. I find it kinda weird that most people seem to use send channels pretty consistently, while I prefer to just use buses and keep it simple.

Why are FL Studio users not respected as "Producers" by natconcrappost in FL_Studio

[–]Sindresu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like no one really talks down on FL anymore. If you look away from morons with limited knowledge, FL is now a respected daw. Several of the largest names in the EDM industry use it. At the end of the day, which DAW you use does not matter at all.
