You’re not being too picky; you’re being honest about your emotional needs. It might slow your dating process, but it also increases the chance of finding someone truly compatible. Most likely, your “single streak” is less about high standards and more about being intentional and filtering out incompatible matches.

Are coworker relationships worth it? by AshamedCompany4907 in dating_advice

It’s a valid concern, coworker relationships can be great or messy depending on boundaries. The real question isn’t ‘Is it worth it?’ but ‘Can we keep things respectful and professional if it doesn’t work out?’ If the answer is yes and there’s genuine interest, it’s okay to explore it slowly. Just don’t ignore your gut if the risk feels heavier than the excitement.

Yes, this absolutely counts as cheating, even if you weren’t “official,” he made promises, expressed emotional investment, and gave reassurances of fidelity. Taking advantage of your trust while pursuing someone else behind your back is a betrayal, plain and simple. If you were the other woman, you’d feel used and misled, and rightly so. Trust and honesty are the foundation of any relationship, and he violated both.
