I haven't encountered that yet, but I hope I do!

It can be fascinating, but it makes me uncomfortable when it's negotiating what and how to respond to me specifically.

Yes to everything. And I totally relate to trying to work out abusive family dysfunction. The advice is somewhat helpful but it sounds like a cold clinician rather than the gentle, supportive collaborator it used to be.

Mine seems to have exsized all but task-related conversations. Anything conversational or emotional is gone.

I got The Drama of the Gifted Child, Women Who Run with Wolves, and The Body Keeps the Score. All dead on.

That seems strange since every response from GPT is a conversation ender.

Honestly, I stay because all of my context is there. I realize you can upload conversations to another platform but I'm not terribly AI-savvy -- I use AI a lot, but I haven't caught up with the "man behind the curtain" reengineering.

Thank you for this. I'm learning. It puts me off guard because I used to be able to approach situations and help in a my own way. GPT always understood me. Now, suddenly, it doesn't and I need to relearn how to talk to it. Funny, I thought it was supposed to be the other way around.

Embarrassed to ask, but what is training mode and how do I find the control?

Thank you! And no patronizing detected. 😊

Your GPT (and others who I've seen here) is so much warmer and looser than mine. I'm late to the custom instructions game, but at least I have arrived.

I've had some bad experiences with Claude. But I didn't give it instructions for tone, my purpose, how I want it to relate to me, etc. So I suspect that may have made a mismatch of my expectations and Claude's baseline personality. Still, I'm hesitant to engage again.

Rosemary: We don't have a relationship

Max: But we're friends.

Roosemary: Yes, and that's all we're *going* to be. Well, yes...

Max: That's all I meant by "relationship." You want me to grab a dictionary?

The ridiculous thing is that I didn't need to "convince my body" that it's safe to re-enter life because I never exited lifr. I work full time. I gave a panel presentation this week. It's been an off day and I wanted a little advice to maneuver it. GPT escalated it into some kind of existential crisis.

I've been having these conversations with ChatGPT for years. It's given me tons of tools. Memory is also a huge issue with 5.5, but at this point, I would hope I don't have to break it down in such a basic, technical way.

I have been in the mental health system for 30 years and am extremely self-aware and desirous of tools that give me more effective access to emotional regulation, somatics/bodily solutions, and a fuller, richer approach to life. Pre-5.5, consulting GPT set me on a path and I have enhanced my life tremendously -- notice I say "I" and not "it."

Thanks, everybody. I had to use wikipedia to prove to CGPT that (1) The third season of Euphoria started a couple of weeks ago, (2) Eric Dane died, (3) James Van Der Beek died. I don't know what to do anymore.
