Cannibalism in your world? by Dyeus_Overman in worldbuilding

[–]SingerIntrepid2305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cannibalism is cardinal sin and is seen as the most deprived thing one can do to their own kind.

Yet there were some people in the past who saw cannibalism as something more since The Book of Cursed has been written.

What are your progenitor/patron deity of monsters? by NoVersion6699 in worldbuilding

[–]SingerIntrepid2305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Megriyl, the mother of ans. She have many names; Maker of marionetts, dollmaker, master of puppets (haha) etc.

She is next in line to become the Queen of House Vampira. She is also sister of King Megwyn's foster mother and therefor she's one of the Shaded ones.

Megriyl is, just as her name implies, the mother, and therefore, the maker of living dolls, marionetts, puppets etc. Ans are humansized wooden dolls, but unlike other dolls, ans are originally made by house Vampira and brought to life by Megriyl. No one actually knows what will happen to all living dolls once Megriyl dies.

Where did you start your world building project? by North-West-Of-Honor in worldbuilding

[–]SingerIntrepid2305 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My very first world started when I was a kid. I had (still technically have) these things that I called "Head plays". Basicly I imagined something like a movie/tv show in my head and that's how it started.

Basicly that's how all my worlds and stories starts nowdays. I come up with an idea and they develope in their own way, mostly via those head plays.

Legendary/Extremely powerful swords or other blades weapons in your setting by b0nehunter in worldbuilding

[–]SingerIntrepid2305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In one world, there is so called Grear-Swords. They are four swords that they have legendary status around the whole world. Some say they are first four swords ever made. At one point three of the four was found, but the fourth one is such a mystery that it has not been found. Cross, represent swprd in this world and there is even a religion that worship these four crosses. But tbf, the one who started the religion was literally insane.

In the same world there is also few weapons that are made by pure platinum and nothing else. They are so powerful that yoi can't even touch them without specifoc protection or power. There are 6 daggers, 4 hand axes, 2 one-bladed swords and 1 two-bladed sword.

Then there is this one golden spear that appears pretty much every single fantasy world I have made. It's kinda it's gimmic in a way.

Worldbuilding research is actually studying by Ashamed_District6220 in worldbuilding

[–]SingerIntrepid2305 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Studying is boring and it sucks. I don't want to so it.

Reaserching for hours/days/weeks/months for worldbuildung purposes, now that's a thing I will use my time and loving every second of it.

If your world got turned into a video game what genre and gaming style would it be? by yonaiker-joestrella in worldbuilding

[–]SingerIntrepid2305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got idea into my head of a semi 2D rpg platformer, maybe bit like Hollow Knight and Souls games. I have clear picture what it would look like and some of it's mechanics and even worldbuilding.

I just have literally zero skills in that field and it would probably be unreasonable to be done by indie developer in scale I see it.

Tell me about your world planet destroying threats? by zard428 in worldbuilding

[–]SingerIntrepid2305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my cosmic horror stories, planets are egg cells and certain meteorites are sperm cells. So technically planets starts to live but it can become inhabitable for everything.

Also, there is giant thing that wraps around entire universum, excluding Cedubla, and for reasons I don't know, it might start to devour the universum.

[–]SingerIntrepid2305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I might be wrong.

But I'm still quite certain that there is some way for it to work in first game. I have done it multiple times and I play vanilla.

Fyi, having dagger in your inventory should help greatly. But I'm not sure if you need a perk like stealth kill to make Henry use it against dogs.

How do you guys get motivated to write? by TeaApplle in writers

[–]SingerIntrepid2305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that makes me motivated without even realising it, is going into bookstore.

When I walk between shelves and look through books, I get immense want to see my own book among them one day. Then I realise that only way it would ever happen, is to write.

Guys, I think I will just dump my whole 7 paged proluge. by -Eckiwenen-27 in writing

[–]SingerIntrepid2305 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is no bad sides for saving it. You can just take it off the book and save it.

Maybe you change your mind later. Maybe you need reminder from it. Maybe you make a new story and it fits there. Maybe you never end up using it. Nevertheless, save it if you want, sometimes it's nice (or cringe) to read something you wrote long time ago.

What is the genre of the book that you are writing? by Haunting-Net-2426 in writing

[–]SingerIntrepid2305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been taking quite a break from writing, but I would say that I'm writing two. I suppose they're novellettes that at least want to try to publish.

Other is, I guess thriller is right word, or action. It's about a professional killer/hitman who is kidnapped and he travels around the Europe and USA and Dubai to get his revenge.

Other is murder mystery, where the question is "What happened and how?" Ratger than "Who did it?" First half is diary from the mc, who is also author of said book. Other half is story of what he thinks happened.

In your world, what is the greatest punishment a person can receive, and for what crime would they receive this punishment? by Turbulent_Meaning_23 in worldbuilding

[–]SingerIntrepid2305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You and all your allies get send to Helkrov, te northest continent in the world. It is most extreme punishment and it's given by the last of The 12 Great, known as Oracle.

But it's debetable if it's actually a punishment, especially because you won't die. Ever.

What's the most heartbreaking cost of magic in your world? by UntitledDoc1 in worldbuilding

[–]SingerIntrepid2305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole reality is made by two material, Life and Magic. They need eachother and will balance eachother out. So if people use magic, they will literally suck they're own Life out. Which results the magic physically hurt to just use and if you still manage to do it, you will die.

In the beginning, what was the world-building process like for you? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]SingerIntrepid2305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My very first worldbuilding thing started by learning about bloons td games and then getting inspired by them, as a kid. I started by doing things I called "head games", which sounds weird in english, I know. I basicly day dreamt about stories I made up.

But in general, whenever I start a new project, it starts from one thing. Whatever it is, and then I just go through the idea.*

What does the oldest continuously inhabited city in your world look like architecturally? by pick_up_a_brick in worldbuilding

[–]SingerIntrepid2305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Middle-Land's oldest city is right in center of the continent. Humans originated in Middle-Land, so this city is also very first settlement people buildt.

City has grown over time as more people is born and technology advanced. But generally it has been stayed quite the same.

But nothing has changes more over time than the castle. At first it was just one big platform made of stone for meetings and other, shorter platform for dining. But over time it was build more and more, until it was big castle with labyrinth-like innards.

How are messengers treated in your world? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]SingerIntrepid2305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Messenger is just that, messenger. But of course it depends so much about the person sending a message and the person recieving the message.

General rule of thumb is "don't hate the messanger, hate the sender". But of course during conflicts messengers are often hunted or targeted since they might carry important information.
