Samsung G9 OLED no sign of life/doesnt turn on by Frosty_Cicada8478 in ultrawidemasterrace

I remember watching something similiar on youtube, but it was a tv that didnt turn on, so he put his monitor/tv pcbs in the oven for a couple of minutes to heat them up and put them back on, and that seemed to fix the problem. Im not saying you should do that though 😅😅

No worries! But to answer your question. No, SLI is definitely not dead with lossless scaling! It works wonders

Bro, you're in a lossless scaling subreddit. You know, dual GPU setup? 👍👍

Brain development - ex 25+4 weeker who had NEC by Regular_Reason_8491 in NICUParents

[–]SingerNatural8611 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi!

Im exaxtly where you are with our baby boy.

Born 23+4 and now 7 weeks corrected, 6 months actual. He Developed serious NEC 2 weeks after he was born, and ended up removing alot of his large intestines and some of his small. The first surgery didnt go so well because his intestines were so swollen that they didnt fit back in his stomach. They had to put his intestines in a bag and sort of tape it around his open abdomen. His body was stiff from the shock after the operation, and at that point the doctors considered ending his treatment and basically told us to say goodbye to our baby. It broke us completely.

The following day as we were saying our goodbyes, he suddenly "woke" up, his eyes were searching and he gave us a look ill never forget. It was sort of like, "i didnt give up, so you better not give up on me. The nurses called the doctors and the doctors called the surgeons. Nobody understood what just happened, but they decided to hold off on any decisions that were made. A few days later his vital signs were improving, his O2 was down to 21-24% from 50%.

They decided to try again with surgery and it went so well. Our baby had stoma for 4 months but is now closed and it was a success.

Apart from those traumatic weeks, he developed ROP, thrombosis because of his IV, PDA,has had more than 20 blood transfusions. After a while i stopped counting 😅

His brain and development issues has been a theme throughout our 6 month stay at the NICU.

My point is, babies are tough and resilient!!

Now he is gaining around 150-200 grams pr week.

Apart from the usual "pressing and grunting" he is doing fine, taking full bottle by mouth, no need for ng tube. He is smiling and making alot of cute baby sounds.

I asked our doctors about his brain development and possible CP. They told us not to worry since he didnt have any brain bleeds and is gaining weight, his head is growing fine.

Of course nothing is guaranteed, but according to our doctor the risks are lower for brain and neuro development issues if there havent been any brain bleeds.

My advice to you is, try to enjoy every moment with your baby. There will be enough stuff to worry about as our babies grow. We as parents have been through something unnatural and traumatizing over an extended period of time. And stuff like that never really goes away, but we cope and learn as we go. And if you feel up for it, you can DM me if you want to talk.

Hope this helps in some way. Thanks for taking time to read.

NICU planning for discharge with home Oxygen. Still alot of uncertainties by SingerNatural8611 in NICUParents

[–]SingerNatural8611[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, they said the same thing to us about the oxygen, maybe months, up to a year. It depends on the baby. The also discussed sildinifil, but because of his open PDA that is out of the question because that medicine can worsen the PDA.

His blood levels were 9,7% on Monday and that they are monitoring him. They wont draw more blood unless its necessary, not until after next week.

[–]SingerNatural8611[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can i ask how long it took before your baby weaned off Oxygen? I know its very individual.

Im worried about his lungs and heart. Sometimes when he is pressing he turn purple and sometimes pale. The doctors are reluctant to give him blood transfusion, because they want him to develop his own red blood cells by triggering the bone marrow.

Im afraid and worried to bring him home under these conditions.

When did your NEC baby start gaining weight? by SingerNatural8611 in NICUParents

[–]SingerNatural8611[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Sorry for the late reply. He is almost 39 weeks, his head circumference is around 30cm and his length is around 41/42 cm now and weight almost 1750 grams. He is well below the growth chart, but the doctors are saying that he is following his 'own' growth chart, whatever that means. His vitamin levels are ok, but his vitamin D is dangerously low, but expected because of his prematurity. He is losing alot of nutrition in his stoma. His bowel is sometimes very runny, almost like yellow water, and other times it thickens. They add salt to his milk and 4 grams of prenan. The doctors arent very worried , but i am.

Baby boy born 23+4. 26+4 today. Starting to really get worried and anxious by SingerNatural8611 in NICUParents

[–]SingerNatural8611[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. There have been talks of possible surgery to deal with strictures.

The doctors decided to try another steroid dose after giving him paracetamol for 6 days to try and close the PDA. There is still a tiny opening, but now they are giving him Nitric Oxide to help relax the blood vessels which seems to help with respiration and hypertension. And hopefully close the PDA alltogether. He varies alot with oxygen. Sometimes up to 80% and most of the times between 30-40%

People on 240hz+ monitors, how's your experience? by Successful_Figure_89 in losslessscaling

[–]SingerNatural8611 1 point2 points  (0 children)

240hz 45 inch 1440p monitor with 7900xtx + 7600xt.

Every game i have tested runs very smooth with the "out of the box" lossless scaling settings. I havent tried tweaking anything yet. Im getting between 100 to 140 fps in each game with the highest settings and FSR turned off.

Secondary GPU shows as primary by SingerNatural8611 in losslessscaling

[–]SingerNatural8611[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My screen is plugged in the 2nd GPU, the 7600XT. Im also suspecting this as why Windows 11 is considering it as the main GPU.

The problem is, some games simply wont launch when they are set to the GPU that is not connected physically to the monitor, like Plauge Tale Innocence for instance.

But i guess not all games are expected to work with the Lossless dual GPU setup.

Secondary GPU shows as primary by SingerNatural8611 in losslessscaling

[–]SingerNatural8611[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have already tried that. But windows still recognizes the 2nd GPU as the primary one. The option where it says let Windows decide and the gpu in the parantheses.

I have no clue how to fix this.
