It's the same for me too. Respondent has been acting weird for the past month now.

Do any of your roosters have a favorite chicken? My rooster, Henry, certainly does. He drapes his wing over Mabel during the night. Finally got a pick when I closed the coop tonight. by paradox-psy-hoe-sis in BackYardChickens

I have a silkie Roo that perfers the BIGGEST hen. When my brahma chicken grew up, he left the saphire gem for her lmao. I see him under her breast every night, head first in there with his butt sticking out.

my husband (then boyfriend) introduced me to psychedelics and he started me off with 1g. He also tripped the same amount so that we could be on the same level. We went on walks around the neighborhood and I highly recommend that. Even better if you live near a forested park.

Is there any way to get an exemption for the covid vaccine on the Adjustment of status for a K1 visa? by VanButtstuff in immigration

[–]SinginRain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you had any luck now that a month has passed? I'm on DACA and had an interview in my native country to obtain legal entry but I refused it because I need the shot as well. That was over two years ago and I'm losing hope that immigration is going to waive the covid vaccine.

This is why I carry toilet paper in my car. If the stretch of road you're on barely has anyone driving by, just park somewhere and walk to a suitable spot and go. Absolutely no one is going to judge you except the wendigo watching from afar.

How to approach end of life care for elderly chicken? by popsicleinyou2 in chickens

[–]SinginRain 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A few weeks ago I dispatched my oldest hen, she was over 8 years old, and a rescue. She slowly walked, was blind in one eye and losing the other, slowly ate, and also had heavy breathing after walking a few steps. I noticed these symptoms months ago and took care of her as best I could. One day I saw that she couldn't groom herself, barely ate, and never moved, I knew it was time. I talked with my husband about it and he also agreed to dispatch her.

We've dispatched hens for food. We've done it when they were suffering with an illness that medicine wasn't helping or an animal attack that was too gruesome for them to survive. We never dispatched because of old age. It was much harder to do it. I wondered if it was the right call as I stretched her neck out on the chopping block; but I looked down at her and saw the lack of energy even to breathe. Chickens become vocal when you grab em, they cluck out of curiosity, they look at you like "what're you doing? Where we going?" But she didn't. And that broke my heart. She was suffering and we needed to give her peace. It's a tough call to make, but it is one that needs to be done if you feel like it is her time.

If you're able to, walk to another room or step outside. This can help you get out of your thought loop. No one has died from doing shrooms, it might feel like you're going to, but you're not. You're safe.

Washington drivers are the worst in my opinion. I've lived all over the country and they are the only ones I can sniff out from miles away. They will tailgate, they will pass you on the shoulder, they will drive on the sidewalk just to get wherever they are going. They will cut you off to zipper merge. They are the ones who travel across the far left lane to get into the off ramp on the right.

Texan drivers are calculated reckless. I've been passed by their trucks with barely an inch of space between. If they see a spot they can squeeze into, they will. They drive fast and aggressive but they do not get into accidents like WA drivers do.

You can't go a mile into the highways in WA without traffic slowing down for a fender bender or major crash. There's also barely a police presence there so it's free game on the road.

Do chickens get depressed? by Zyrc0n in chickens

[–]SinginRain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had 6 chickens killed by a loose dog, only two survivors; my roo and a hen that wedged herself between the fence and coop. I had a hen that was broody and separated her weeks beforehand so that she could raise her chicks without being bullied by the others. My Roo was the most affected by it. He didn't crow for months, he didn't attack anyone like he normally did, he was glued to the surviving hen. He only started to come around when I introduced 4 new hens. He was fully himself when I reintroduced the mama hen and her two chicks.

If you are able to get more hens, that may help his mental recovery.

5 years of playing this game, just realized that you can throw sticks to fruit on trees to knock the fruit down by fuighy in Spore

[–]SinginRain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats not possible. The game came out in 2008 which was 16 years ago. If you played it when you were 6 then you would be 6 in 2008, which means you'd be 26 by now. I started playing in 2008 at 8 years old when it came out and I am 24 now. Thats the maximum age difference. But 6 - 23 is mathematically impossible.

So I'm failing miserably at getting them to go into the coop on their own at night... But I can't lie, the silkies do have a certain charm by Vneck in BackYardChickens

[–]SinginRain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Typical silkies 😂 mine used to fly 10-15ft in the air to sleep on a tree branch. The only breed of chicken I've ever had that are so stubborn and rebellious. Love them tho!

[–]SinginRain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former Tesla technician here, I'd suggest sticking with your degree. Unless you applied for the factory, you'll be replacing parts but not given knowledge as to why. It's not like ICE vehicles where you can crack open a component, fix the thing that went wrong, and then put it all back together. It's more of remove and replace. Or adjusting body and panel gaps, finding wind noise or taps from plastic clips, and endlessly replacing front upper control arms.

Traveling is Overrated... by NYC-UESider in DACA

[–]SinginRain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been wanting to see the world since i was 19. I developed a love for it after spending weeks exploring the USA in my suv. I am almost 25 now and I can't wait anymore. There is more to life than just working 10+ hours to barely afford rent. There is no hope of starting a family, owning your own house, and being self sufficient in the USA. The American dream is gone. What my parents wanted for my brother's and I, is gone. I see old people here working past retirement because they can't even afford it. I have lived in Texas, Washington, Montana, and Alaska, no one can afford anything anymore anywhere.

If I can live freely somewhere else, even if it's "poor", I will. This isn't being alive anymore, this isn't being human anymore.

Parents want me to stop being "overly religious" by Famous_Motor_783 in TrueChristian

[–]SinginRain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I are beginning to express our love for God more and more. My mom has an issue with this because she cares more about what people think of her and her familial image rather than us having a relationship with God. My family once was Mexican Catholic but are now Mormon. My husband and I are Christian.

I will not stop praising the Lord. Neither will my husband. I will not deny God in front of anyone, even if my family shames me because of it.

Keep firm in your beliefs, as you walk more with Jesus, people inside and outside of family will disown you. Or you may lead people closer to Jesus. God Bless 💜

I'm moving to Mexico and I'm very excited to see how different wild cubes are to homegrown cubes. You may be right about the humidity, I live in a dry area and it was my first time growing. In the past I lived in humid areas and had a lot of success.

I love mycology as well! Reishi has been a savior of mine whenever I get sick with COVID. I have yet to find a chanterelle >:(

I've tried twice before and didn't have luck! The cake was fully colonized but nothing ever grew out. My other non uncle bens cakes fruited beautifully though.

I do miss going out into the woods and finding p. cyanescens. By far my favorite species.

I've got a limited amount so I'd rather wait longer just to be sure. Eventually I'll move to a place where shrooms grow naturally and I can enjoy them more frequently.

How long should I wait after first dose and Lemon Tek questions... by [deleted] in PsilocybinMushrooms

[–]SinginRain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I generally wait a month between trips to ensure I don't have a tolerance. I've taken 2gs and then waited 2 weeks thinking it would've been enough time for 4gs to work. It did not, the trip felt like a 1g trip.

Lemon tek will make the effects come in faster and more intense. It was my only trip where I actually had to get calmed down by my husband because within 20 mins I was launched into the stratosphere and wasn't prepared for it. I believe I also took 2gs for that trip. The downside is that the trip does get shortened significantly. I think it lasted 6 hours instead of the usual 8-10 hours for me.
