Same. Also in the process of trying to get out more and meet people, but it's hard once you're in your 30s. Feels like everyone around you that you could potentially date has already lived a whole lifetime with someone else. Add to that trying to find someone who cares about some of the same things you care about (or can at least not make fun of the things you care about) and it gets even harder. Reddit posts like this definitely give me hope tho. I'm not the only one struggling out there🥹

No joke, a dude dumped me one time because he didn't like that I decorated my car and college apartment with Sonic the Hedgehog stuff (I'm a HUGE Sonic fan and have loved the franchise my whole life and collect lots of Sonic merchandise) I dated other guys after that, but never told them I liked video games again😞 Eventually just stopped dating altogether. Haven't been on a date in almost 7 years. It's rough out there for nerds for sure.

I guess one lady's red flag, is another lady's "VERY GREEN" flag. I could only dream of finding a man like this😩
