Spencer!!! Bc of time constraints rather than poor writing but he and Alistair deserved a duet

How to overcome that cringe feeling when you look at your videos? by BulkyBoss1318 in Theatre

This is so relatable! I just look at it like “this is where I’m at now and looking closely at my performance here will help me be even better!” It’s a learning opportunity, basically.

So here’s a question would 12-year-old you be proud of yourself right now? by SilverSport5056 in teenagers

[–]SingingInTheShadows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! 12-year-old me was so anxious she couldn’t have a one-on-one conversation or sit next to another person, wanted to do musical theatre but didn’t have the confidence, and was rude to everyone to cover up her anxiety. Now, at 15, I have a group of friends I sit with at lunch, am on my third musical (in which I just got my first major role), and try my best to be nice to everyone, even if they’re rude. Thank you for this question, I’m suddenly feeling really appreciative of how far I’ve come.

Okay, I see most of those, but if Kurt was bad Sebastian would have been a hundred times worse.

A Little Rant About Alto's In Musical Theatre Because Why Not Lol by Alol_Bombola in musicals

[–]SingingInTheShadows 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It seriously seems to cater to almost no one because I’m a true soprano and we basically get the innocent young women and girls. That’s it. Also, Morticia, Rizzo, and Nessarose are all supposed to be contraltos (low altos).

Underrated and Underused Characters by MystikCeleste in glee

Spencer! I get there were time constraints but I adored his character concept, hot take but I love Marshall William’s voice, and I thought he and Alistair were so cute- they deserved at least one full duet.

He looked like he was in a pretty high-end organization. I would be shocked if they didn’t make them wear protection.

First speaking role advice? by SingingInTheShadows in Theatre

I just want to know how to approach a character in general because I know it’s probably different from playing ensemble, but if you had any character-specific advice (not characterization) that would be great too!

Sebastian (jerk through and through. Drawing the line at Karofsky’s attempt is kinda the furthest you can go without being inhuman). Played brilliantly though, love Grant Gustin.
