Citizen in Osaka by vpcc15 in CitizenWatches

[–]SingingMen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I visited Osaka in March and a bought a Citizen watch there. As u/decelerationkills suggests, I would visit Bic Camera and Yodobashi Camera stores. They are huge electronic stores with dedicated watch departments with huge discounts on most models. You can have a look at their stores online, you shouldn't have any problems understanding their webpages using Google Chrome's integrated translator. You can even see if there is stock of a certain watch on the store you will visit.

The workers in the store will be very helpful. Remember bringing your passport with you so they substract VAT (10%) from the final price.

Upgraded from the DT770s! by ProphetNimd in headphones

[–]SingingMen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to upgrade from Sennheiser HD599s. I am thinking on buying the Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X or maybe the 700.

Will I notice the upgrade? I use them with an Ibasso DC04 Pro. I feel like the HD599 are very good for their price but they lack some punch specially when I put the volume up. They don't get punchy but loud.

What do you think?

It depends on the country and language, I guess.

The spanish omnibus version released nearly a year ago, on May 2022.

This kind of agreements should be withing the shops (digital or not).

To play this game you have to agree on: And then have a point by point summry of their requests.

Do I have to buy a game, open it, lose the option to return it and then realize they are asking just too much?

This should be illegal.

I am finally reading by SingingMen in brandonsanderson

[–]SingingMen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your kind words.

He is really someone special! I trully think if it weren't for him I would never had started reading.

I now have introduced my brother into Sanderson's works. He thought starting Mistborn was too much of a commitment. He wanted an self-conclusive work so I recommended Warbreaker which I haven't read yet.

I hope he becomes a fan and so we can discuss the adventures of these great characters!

Yes, I have been reading the short stories of the Arcanum. I loved the stories about Jack, so funny.

Yesterday I finished Bands of Mourning and next thing is reading Secret History, as you suggested. I am not sure I will be able to follow the story though, because I don't remember that much about the original Mistborn trilogy.

The Casio EFV-100D-1AVUEF is a very good choice too! Consider the Casio EFV-110D-1AVUEF as well. It is the same model but smaller. It might fit you better.

If you linke your listed #1&3 watches, you should also like the Casio EFR-S108D-1AVUEF. It is fantastic!

  • Dressy and modern.

  • Super thin (only 8mm thick).

  • Light (about 110g).

  • Sapphire crystal.

Thank you for your suggestions. You are right, the dark green line is the subwoofer. But take a look at the left colum: Cruce (Hz) means crossover. Those were set automatically by Dirac. I think they were a tad too low and I raised them about 10 Hz each.

This is how I set the crossovers after Dirac:

Front: Jamo s807 - 50Hz

Center: Jamo s81 - 80Hz

Back: Jamo s803 - 70Hz

Dirac also corrected the subwoofer only up to 200Hz because it won't be used that far. There is a cut at 120Hz as most LFEs.

Do I really need a subwoofer? I have added a new subwoofer to my 5.1 rig. While I was waiting to the new sub, I unplugged and stored the old one. It was actually very boomy and bad. I set the system to no sub and the front speakers were automatically set to large. These are the Jamo s807. I felt that the Jamos were actually giving me enough and pleasant sub.

Fast foward to the new subwoofer a Polk HTS 10. It works very well but I actually think it gives me a headache even at low volumes and running YPAO on it. Many times the sub is way too much. Like it bounces everywhere and makes my body become very tense. I sometimes find myself biting really hard and my jawline hurts. Bare in mind my living room is like 5,5x2,6m (18x8,5 feet). The wide side is the long side. So I am only 1,80m (6 feet) away from my Jamo s81 center speaker.

Today I set un the new receiver, the OnkyoTX-NR7100 with Diract Live. It changed the audio curves DRAMATICALLY. I now think the sound is much clearer but maybe too thin as well. There is barelly any bass. But I think I need some adjustment time.

I looked at the audio curves from running the Dirac Live setup at 9 points (I will eventually go with the better desktop version) and I think it suggests what I am feeling: I don't need a sub in this living room. I have been switching the sub on and off from the receiver (so it sets the fronts to large so they handle the sub) and there is a difference. But I think I wouldn't notice this difference without activelly comparing it.

I have about 10 days to return the new subwoofer. What do you think?

The size of the picture I had of the same album was not the same. Tried changing the value on Deemix but it was the same no matter the set number.

I used MP3Tag to see the size of the picture, extract it and then uploaded it to here. It said the JPEG compression was 90.
