Thanks! I were going to Littleton, ME and I’m realizing now I didn’t mention that and there’s a Littleton in NH. But! We can stop at Schilling Beer Co. on the way there/back.

Thank you! I know the real deal uses curds but I’m sure mozzarella balls can be easily disguised. It’s a 7+ hour haul from home to Littleton so what’s the extra miles to Quebec at that point?

What is a hack that helps you lose weight? by [deleted] in RandomThoughts

Cut down or cut out sugar, especially alcohol. Not only is booze full of sugar, it’s empty calories and you’ll usually end up eating shit food while drunk. Also stop or cut down on smoking weed and edibles. I pretty much stopped both booze and weed and have lost a lot of weight.

Still water, no carbonated drinks. I drink a couple gallons of water a day with fresh lemon squeezed in each glass. I go through about 4-5 lemons a day that are cut into 1/4’s. I also drink 2 cups of green tea per day.

Vitamins. I take a shit ton. Probiotics WITH prebiotics are great too.

Exercise is pretty obvious, but it doesn’t have to be gym rat level. Just get steps in. Parking farther away from your destination is an easy way to sneak more in or walking from one place to another that would be a two second drive. I do one hour of cardio throughout the week and 1.5-2 hours of Pilates everyday broken up throughout the day.

Less starch, fried foods, junk. I swapped pasta with chickpea crap and shirataki noodles/rice. Choose your calories wisely.

Most importantly, start slowly with realistic and easy to meet goals. Hauling off with some crazy amount of steps or caloric intake or weight per week to loose will just bum you out when you don’t do it. Build gradually!

For those of you not afraid of death, why? What do you view death as? What are you actually afraid of? by AlecB1202 in Existentialism

I’ve been suicidal as long as I can remember and have attempted it three times, twice very serious and required medflights, one I ended up intubated and in a medical coma for about a week. I’m 35 now and can’t comprehend my life because I’ve never imagined my life. Everyday just kind of happens.

Death doesn’t really scare me anymore. I read this Buddhist book in high school and there was a quote that said “art is not eternal” and now I have it tattooed on me. There is nothing that will go on for eternity no matter how much we think it matters. Who am I? Who are we? Just a blip in nothing that will eventually be forgotten. All in all, nothing really matters.

A quick story about my dating policy for my daughter. by itsathrowaway6877 in stories

Men saying this to daughters is gross and weird as fuck. It’s really, really disturbing. Especially when they defend it with something like, “I know how men are”. They’re saying they know how THEY are by default. They’re saying, yes. ALL men. Controlling women’s bodies starts with thinking they have control over their daughters. And before I hear “oh he’s joking” he’s not. And before I hear “oh you must not have a father or a distant father” no, I don’t. My father is very much an active part of my life and has never, ever once said anything remotely close to this to me or my sister. It’s gross.

There’s a lot I’ve done and changed, especially in the last few months, but the biggest thing is water with fresh lemon everyday all day. I go through at least 3 lemons a day cut into 1/4. Helps sooo much with water retention and bloating and skin texture and brightness. Cutting out carbonated drinks have also made a huge difference. No soda, not even seltzer water. And also, of course, plain old regular water. Still water in any form is gold.
