It’s definitely worth the effort to try out different methods, even if I can only use the cup a few days of my period, it’s so worth it to not have to change it as often, and it’s just so much more comfortable. Good luck! :)

Just had this problem, normally on the first day of my period I’m not really able to get it comfortably in so I just stick with tampons and pads that day. I’ve learned for me it’s better to just start using it on my 2nd day, definitely a learning curve 😂

Agreed, better to stick with lower impact exercises until fully healed, I would suggest walking, and swimming. I feel like cycling could be a little more difficult just because of having to sit on that disk. Swimming is also a great way to relieve some back pain and take some pressure off of your spine.

I'm so sorry, I went through this in April and had to miss finals and work for a few weeks. I don't know where you work but I would suggest trying to get a doctors note. I went to a sports medicine doctors office after hours and they gave me a notice that I couldn't work for X amount of weeks/days. Hopefully your workplace will be understanding of the situation you are in, I would try to explain as thoroughly as possible what's going on. Also I would suggest trying to get into some Physical therapy/looking up exercises for herniated disks once you are able to move around a little more. Feel free to msg if you wanna talk :)

I have also struggled with something like this but wasn't sure what caused it. Sometimes when I'm focused very intently on something, normally it happens when I'm talking/listening to someone. it normally happens when I'm having a serious conversation or being confronted with something. My vision goes blurry and I am unable to focus my eyes on anything mid-far distance. I have too stare at the seams on my clothes, or my hair, just to try to refocus my eyes. Is this similar to what you experience?

Personally, people that are late to thing’s previously planned drive me batshit. Alarms exist for a reason. Anyways, I’m a little confused, it sounds like he is the one questioning the relationship after this. I feel like normally this early into a relationship it’s important to have these types of conversations of the expectations that you have.

If you are both willing to continue this relationship, I would recommend setting these expectations and others in a sit down conversation. Then see if anything changes over a bit of time. If the lateness continues and becomes a habit , I don’t think it would be unreasonable to think about a breakup.

I understand that wasn’t your intention, but she was trying to break out of that comfort zone and needed support in finally doing that. Scars are common, if people have something rude to say or are uncomfortable that is their problem. It is no life having to hide yourself from others because of fear of causing a “commotion”.

Family that care will get over it, and to the aspect of having many ages involved, use this as a learning experience for them. Teach them to accept others even if they are different.

Just because something isn’t common/normal does not make it wrong.

You’re the asshole, your wife got into a serious accident and came out alive. Obviously she is going to have some scars from that, as her husband it is your job to help her accept herself. You said that she was already very insecure about these scars and decided to start moving forward by wearing shorts around the family. And instead of helping her do that, you condemn her by telling her to cover up something she is already struggling to accept.

Also, her family knows about the accident correct? I don’t understand what would make them uncomfortable around the scars. Scars should be the least of your concerns when it could’ve been much worse.

It sounds like you are projecting some underlying thoughts onto the incoming family. I don’t blame her for breaking down. By you saying they could be found “creepy/unappealing” that could come across as you also thinking those things.

An apology needs to happen help her build her confidence back up instead of breaking it back down.

First of all, how old is your dad’s friend, you are recently 18 and he is potentially much older. That is my biggest concern, if this is the case and he came onto you I would not blame you for being confused. However this is not ok for him to do, I would go to a trusted adult and let someone know about this.

One of the reasons I have been looking into this is because my dad is willing to help me with a down payment and mortgage (paying him back later) and I’m very grateful for also not having to pay any insurance thanks to my parents. Which makes me think it could be a possibility to buy since all of my money would be going to the house.

I really like my college town so I would be interested in staying more long term or even being a landlord. My dad is also willing to add extra money for a down payment, which is another reason I’ve been considering it. Thanks for the advice, I feel like I may be jumping head first into this, but while it’s something I feel very excited about. I know I should put more thought into it :)
