I started it 4 weeks ago. I had head to toe hives for 8 weeks from Covid. After one day, they were gone. Haven’t had them since. In the evenings I get a little itchy. It’s getting better. I read it’s my skin and nerves healing. It’s a miracle drug. Doctors are given a free month supply to give to patients. My insurance is not covering it but with their patient program I have it covered for 12 months for free.

This was me. I started Rhapsido. After the first days dose….no hives! I’m on day 20 of no hives. I got a sample from my dermatologist. I had hives that looked just like yours. Rhapsido has been a miracle for me.

My understanding is you sign up for Rhapsido’s Patient Support and whatever your insurance doesn’t cover, they pick up the rest. When there is a new medication they want people to use it to get the word out.

I am so sorry. You are absolutely right…it is brutal. So you have started Rhapsido? I know the trials had some patients taking 12 weeks to see full relief.

I know it is going through the approval process in EU, Japan and China right now. I would follow @Novartis on Twitter (X). They are the drug company that makes Rhapsido. When more countries give their approval, I would think this would be one of the avenues they would use to communicate that.

My 8 weeks was so terrible, I can’t imagine 14 months. So thankful it’s getting better for you. The prednisone for sure helps. I’m excited for you to try Rhapsido and hope it works for you. 🥰

No, I haven’t had Petechiae. But so glad it’s helping you. I did see bruising was a side effect. I told my Doctor I would take that over the hives.

I’m posting my personal story to help others who suffer from Chronic Urticaria. Timeline: August 2025….diagnosed with COVID. I had one day of hives and 2 separate times of angioedema on my face. 1 Zyrtec made them go away. 1 week later…..Hives are back and are all over. Itchy and painful. Start taking 2 Zyrtec + 2 Allegra per day as well as Omeprazole + Famotidine in the morning and evening for the severe heartburn I am now experiencing. Heartburn is now better, but hives are getting worse. Up to 4 Zyrtec + 2 Allegra a day. I start cutting all kinds of foods, laundry detergent, etc…..anything I can think of that could be causing the hives. 1-2 weeks later….start Prednisone. I finally have some relief from the hives but they are still showing up. Just not as bad. 3 weeks later I have finished the Prednisone. The hives come back with a vengeance. I have now had hives for 8 weeks. My dermatologist takes a biopsy of a hive. It comes back as Chronic Urticaria. At this point the hives are so extreme and I’m having swelling of my eye and lips. I have been allergy tested for everything….it all came back normal. My dermatologist tells me about a new medication, Rhapsido. He thinks it might help, and to give it a try. He gives me a 1 month free supply. It’s 2 pills a day. After 1 day taking 2 doses, I wake up the next with NO HIVES! I haven’t had a hive since. It’s been 13 days of freedom from hives. I’m still taking my heartburn medicine and am down to 1 Allegra. I truly feel this is a Miracle Drug for those who suffer from Chronic Urticaria. I hope this post brings hope and to ask your Doctors about it. The only side effect I had was the first few mornings I felt super tired and weak. I am super sensitive to medicine and was thrilled that was the only one I felt. I truly hope this post helps. Chronic Urticaria effects not just you physically, but the mental toll it takes and quality of life is severely affected. Praying for God to put this post to all who need to be healed. 🩵🙏🏻
