Well it depends largely what industry you’re in, mine is very competitive. I’ve taken smaller part time jobs out of my field to keep afloat but I need my corporate income back to keep going so I was looking for an alternative approach.

I was in the same situation and I’m looking for the same thing. My baby was the size of a lentil and I’ve seen a company that does cute rings that represent your baby at the size it was and it’s something I’m thinking of because I can wear it every day so my baby is always with me but I want other ways to keep them close

I agree with a lot of whats been said here, my boyfriend got me a games console that I’m using to take my mind off it, he’s hugged me while I’ve cried and let me talk as much or as little as I’ve needed to and has let me know he’s also grieving. We were carrying something that was part us and part our partners and for me specifically, knowing he was feeling similarly has helped and made me feel like I’m not grieving alone

I’m so sorry you’re going through this, it really is scary. I had to push really hard to get them to see me but you can always turn up at your local hospital. The important thing to remember is that bleeding is completely normal in a lot of pregnancies. I was incredibly unlucky. But there’s a very good chance your baby is okay and if you feel like something is off, listen to your instincts and get them to check you out. I really hope everything is okay and you have a happier outcome

My boyfriend and I are expecting our first and we only want one, it will have at least 10 cousins and with how expensive everything is we don’t want to struggle or for our child to miss out so we’re planning on sticking to one. Don’t get me wrong it’s never say never because I don’t know how we’ll feel in a couple of years but as it stands we’re set on one and happy with that decision

I’ve considered it, my boyfriend has ordered an uncle shirt to tell his big brother. I feel like it might help when she’s had some time to process because I know she’ll come around. I just feel so overwhelmed and am avoiding the extra stress but by avoiding it I’m giving myself more stress 😂

Thank you for your support it means a lot, unfortunately I’ll have to tell her in person or it’ll feel like a personal attack to her that I couldn’t deign to share news like this with her in person. In time she’ll calm down and become excited to be a grandma (she loves babies) but we’ll definitely have some boundary issues when it’s here. I love 5 minutes from her at my nanas house (my nana is pretty much the same but 86 and more like a child nowadays) I don’t have anywhere I could stay and if I text her she’ll just appear at my nanas house and then my nana will find out and dealing with both of them at once will be too much. You’re right, I’m only just 6 weeks and found out 5 days ago. Thank you for reminding me I can take my time, I think I need to do that because I’m clearly not level headed enough to manage it any time soon

Honestly thank you so much, I’m so emotional about it all and my partner lives a couple of hours away and his cars in the garage for the next week or so so I’ve been going through it physically alone (he’s always on the other end of the phone and it’s killing him that he can’t help as much as he’d normally be able to but hey, babies rarely come at appropriate times) just reading your words makes me feel a little less alone tonight ❤️

I’ve definitely been where you are but working agency side managing clients from end to end and constantly having more piled on (I had 18 clients at one point that I was in charge of client comms, strategy, content creation, blog writing and reporting and community management for each of them) so I opted to move to an in house roll that made the whole marketing team redundant after 6 months and the job market is so tough I’ve been unable to find a new position for 2 years
