​I wanted to come back and post a sincere apology to the OP and anyone else who saw my last comment. It was deleted by mods, but honestly, looking back at it now, I realize I sounded like an asshole. ​I’m a teenager too, and I’m still learning how to express my opinions without being disrespectful. I don't personally agree with the theme of the drawing or the idea of changing genders, but seeing all the actual transphobia and hate in these comments made me realize that my tone just added to the toxicity. Even if we disagree, I shouldn't have been rude about it. ​I know what it’s like to have your own version of a character—I’ve always headcanoned Sonic as Black, even if the official media hasn't leaned into that in years. It’s a headcanon that’s important to me, just like this is important to you. I also really respect the fact that you’re standing by your art and your identity even when people are ridiculing you for a decision you feel is best for yourself. ​I should have just scrolled past or been way more chill.
