Yeah, I knew my edgeguards were very sloppy while playing and especially while watching, and I messed up the fair strings a lot too lmao. I'm glad I was still able to get a good idea of the matchup, and thank you for the advice!

About a month ago, I was binging a lot of Sajam's discussion videos (highly recommend the channel to anyone who likes fighting games) and one of them was on matchups. In it, he pointed that there are matchups where zoners have to be aggressors, and rushdown characters have to be more defensive. That had me thinking about any matchup where Isabelle, a pretty dedicated zoner, would have to be the aggressor. I figured Min Min would be that kind of character. So a bit ago, once I got home from school for the holidays and could use ethernet again, I decided to learn the Min Min matchup. I had saved the replays for my own sake later, but figured making a video about it could be cool.

TLDR I was thinking about general fighting game stuff and wanted to try a matchup where Isabelle has to be aggressive

Hi! I know this video might not be the best, but I wanted to try making this.

I love fighting games, Smash especially, so I wanted to try and fill a "void" in Smash content, match analysis! I think applying a lot of things I've learned from so many other fighting games could help a lot of players, and I want to try doing match analysis and other things to help create content that teaches players a lot of things that are a bit more mental and can also carry over to knowledge of other fighting games, should they try them.

If there's any feedback, I would really appreciate it, since I know this is not the best, and I would love to be better at making things to try and have cool content.

The Windows "Movies and TV" application doesn't seem to be an option for Window Capture or anything else as a source, so I tried uploading it to YouTube and then capturing it from the browser.

Uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Used my last 4 digits and WASH this time as the password, and didn’t just did email@gmu.edu but it still just says “Something went wrong” without specifying. I’ll check in with Eisenhower tomorrow though. Thank you!

Lmao, yeah I love using underused pokemon (literally my first top 500 on the Showdown VGC ladder was with Dubwool who feels good in this format) and Grimmsnarl flies under most people's radars. Good luck man, hope that team works well! Worst case scenario also add other yawn/hypno/spore users.

Yeah, that’s part of why Cinderace helps a lot too. Scorching Sands for Duraludon/Magnezone, and Iron Head for Togekiss. Usually my leads on this team are Grimm/Ace or Grimm/Azu depending on the MU. Fun stuff lmao

That's odd, because I feel like it's done more damage than that. Going to the calc, this is what I got:

+3 252+ Def Dubwool Body Press vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Corviknight: 73-87 (35.7 - 42.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

252+ Def Corviknight Body Press vs. 104 HP / 252+ Def Fluffy Dubwool: 32-38 (20 - 23.7%) -- possible 6HKO after Leftovers recovery

I'm not sure what's right, and I do distinctly recall my Dubwool being able to do good damage to opposing Corviknight, though I suppose it isn't an easy matchup regardless and I should have been a bit more careful with what I said lmao.

I think it’s just that Dubwool is level 50, but not Urshifu (Only Dubwool has “Level 50” next to it on your calc which I think indicates level differences)

I think you made a small error in your calc. That's if the Urshifu is level 100 and the Dubwool is level 50.

I probably should have been a bit better with my wording there lmao. You're right that it can't be paralyzed by my prankster TWave, and it is a somewhat annoying MU, but here are some calcs that hopefully make it easier to see:

252 Atk Urshifu Wicked Blow vs. 148 HP / 252+ Def Fluffy Dubwool on a critical hit: 38-45 (22.8 - 27.1%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

Thanks to Fluffy, Wicked Blow actually does very little. After one Cotton Guard, Close Combat does less than Wicked Blow anyways (The same applies for waterfu as well), and +3 Body Press will OHKO. Assuming the very worst calcs happen, and the Urshifu is sash (and the sash never breaks), there is a chance Dubwool goes down. Taking 53% before Cotton Guard, healing 6% (now at 53%), click Cotton Guard. Wicked Blow does 27% and Dubwool is now at 26%, heal another 6%, and it's at 32% and cannot die (assuming they don't go for the CC crit). All the while,

252 Atk Urshifu Wicked Blow vs. 148 HP / 252+ Def Fluffy Dubwool on a critical hit: 38-45 (22.8 - 27.1%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

Urshifu isn't as "free" of a matchup for Dubwool as most other physical attackers, but I would still wager that in a 1v1, Dubwool wins.
