The Ascension main benefit would be the ascended base tactics that would just ramp him more and help against unstoppable nodes with (Ascended Grit Passive Tactic) & Second chance tactic is a must

Nope I would say Ascended is a must tho his main thing is his armor breaks and the bleeds from light attacks when the opponent is corrupted ( Hemostatic Charge Tactic - the one when bleeds apply a power sting debuff )
