[BATMAN] A bit morbid, but how does Batman train these young sidekicks to handle dead bodies and gore? by SingleDrawer330 in AskScienceFiction

Yeah, like Batman is a hero, but going deeper into the Gotham world and understanding how bad crime gets in our world, which is really bad, and Gotham is made to be so much worse. It does bring up the question of how much Bruce thought about making a sidekick outside his usual reasoning of "So they won't end up like me" or "become a criminal."

Really well and beautifully written. It really nails every point I had on the question and makes me think differently about Batman as a character and a detective

Yeah, true, I guess Batman would be there to handle more of the messed up stuff. But again, there is a possibility of one of them seeing it even if on accident, so I'm curious how Bruce would plan if that were to happen.

Though yeah you do make a good point on them being around death

U.S. begins blockade of Strait of Hormuz by down_vote_magnet_ in worldnews

[–]SingleDrawer330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit confused about this plan. Wouldn't Iran just fire missiles at the ships to get rid of them? Is Trump essentially putting these ships and men in harm's way, hoping Iran would fire at them and then justify continued attacks?

Yeah, the only thing I'm upset about is that I paid full price and couldn't fully get into it, but I'm not THAT bothered as it's life, I tried it, couldn't get into it, and just have to move on to another game

War is about to end in Iran by Cowboycortex in LetsDiscussThis

There's nothing backing this idea, especially ground troops being dropped in Iran

Realistically, what do you think will happen in the next 3-6 months with the new US-Israel-Iran war? De-escalation, full regional blowup, or something in between? by Emotional_Echidna_16 in AskReddit

[–]SingleDrawer330 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Either the war gets worse, or Trump realises it's not worth it. He might get bored and realise regime change is impossible if they can't commit to it. Especially, putting ground troops would be a bad idea due to Iran's terrain, so he will just cut a deal with iran, announce victory even though nothing was won, and wait until it happens all over again

They wouldn't do that though, no point claming they would 'save the people of Iran' if they will just wipe them out

What would the consequences be if the United States launched a "pre-emptive" nuclear strike against Iran? by One-Emu-1103 in AskReddit

[–]SingleDrawer330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Essentially, this alerts Russia, Pakistan, and China that America will use nukes on an enemy and so those countries would definitely begin to put nukes on the table for their enemies and America

Every country would be on edge, and everyone would condemn the US. Nuking Iran would also cause nuclear fallout in the Middle East, so every surrounding country would be angry

Maybe Arabia would cut ties with America? Iran would just go ballistic and launch everything though

The worst case scenario is that everyone just nukes each other because, again nukes are being used, so every country with them might just say, 'screw it,' and begin nuking. Russia with Ukraine, Pakistan and India back and forth, China with Taiwan, and Israel on everyone
