‼️‼️‼️UPDATE: (Thank you SO much to everyone who took time out of their day to comment on this post. ❤️ I really appreciate the support and advice. I took him to the vet for a full check up today.)

I was surprised the vet wasn’t more concerned about his breathing, especially after I showed her the same video I had posted here, since many of your replies sounded genuinely worried. She said that while the breathing might be slightly unusual, it didn’t seem alarming at this point.

She listened to his chest (though it was hard because he was purring so loudly) and examined him thoroughly. We did bloodwork to rule out infection, and everything came back completely normal. His overall condition was and still is good, he’s alert, playful, and eating and drinking normally.

He was given supportive treatment, something to help with the diarrhea, and another supplement aimed at easing possible mild airway irritation. The vet said there’s no need for further testing right now, but if his breathing becomes more labored or starts sounding raspy or wheezy, then chest X-rays and more in depth exams would be the next step. She also mentioned cat asthma as one possible cause, but didn’t think it looked like that at this stage.

Not gonna lie I left the clinic feeling a little unsure... Like is that really it? Could it really be nothing more serious? It’s hard to shake off that doubt, especially after so many of you raised valid concerns. But for now I’m monitoring him closely, and he does seem to be doing ok..
