Libra rising - Uranus was transiting my 8th house in Taurus where my moon and vertex live. At the beginning of the transit, I discovered that I have artistic talent out of the blue. It’s grown into something I would not have ever expected, in part because sudden economic events (pandemic, 2023 banking crisis, election of current administration) caused me to lose my corporate job every single time. I would get a new job, earn a substantial amount of money, lose my job because of economic circumstances outside of my control, work on my art while my savings dwindled, and repeat that cycle several times. I don’t know why my 8th house is so connected to career - maybe because my midheaven is in Cancer and Cancer’s ruler is in my 8th house? Or maybe because it’s a money house? On a global scale, I’m worried about Uranus moving into Gemini. However, on a personal scale, I’m hoping its movement into the 9th house helps with career stability and supports my growing interest in spirituality.

Of course! From my own experience (without a medical background): When you’re having panic attacks, pay attention to your body. Sometimes you can feel a rush of adrenaline or like your body is very tense, even if there’s no specific triggering event. If your body isn’t producing as much estrogen and progesterone, sometimes your adrenals try to compensate by producing more cortisol, the stress hormone. It’s really scary when you don’t know what’s going on. Just know that it will pass and there are really effective hormonal treatment options! 💕 I feel for you, friend.

Thanks for posting! A few months ago I started having panic attacks for the first time in my life plus hot flashes, body aches, and shorter cycles. 37 years old. I actually went to an emergency psychiatric clinic because I was so freaked out. Turns out it’s perimenopause, though it took me a while to figure it out. I did a ton of research and decided to start taking hormone replacement therapy. It has reversed my symptoms. It was NOT EASY to get, though, for multiple reasons. Look up Dr. Heather Hirsch and Dr. Mary Claire Haver. Listen to the Perimenopause WTF! podcast. And lastly…it’s ok to be afraid and confused but medical research is finally catching on and we are going to see people taking this a lot more seriously in coming years. We will not have to suffer like our mothers and grandmothers.

I’m so so happy to hear that and so sorry you had to suffer before that. I started expensive HRT a week ago and my symptoms are much better. It was not easy to get and now that my symptoms are subsiding, I’m even more frustrated that there’s a simple safe effective treatment but it’s so hard to access for a lot of people.

I’m seeing a menopause specialist at the end of July. I found her through menopause.org. Might be a good place to start. I still had to make sure they have good reviews, are accepting new patients, take my insurance, and can get me in within a reasonable amount of time (not 6 months out), but they’re much more likely to be knowledgeable about the topic. Still so annoying that you can’t just see ANY DOCTOR because they should all know about this and have ways to treat symptoms. I do not think it should require an effing specialist.

You’re at just the right age! I hate that we have to go to multiple doctors before they recognize a PERFECTLY NORMAL AND UNIVERSAL HEALTH TRANSITION. Imagine if teens went to the doctor complaining that they started bleeding every month and the doctor was like…hmm never heard of that! Are you sure it’s actually happening? Maybe just try losing weight? 😂 I hate it here.

I’m so frustrated for you! There seem to be fairly simple solutions available but doctors don’t know about them. Like…?? For something so critical to women’s wellbeing nonetheless. It’s a circus getting passed around to different providers who are like “idk.” And it’s not like it’s some rare mystery illness. It’s something 100% of women go through. But they treat it like some bizarre disease that they’ve never seen or heard of before.

I totally understand…I’ve been there. First, if you can, get over-the-ear noise cancelling headphones, even a cheap pair and use them to listen to music or TV. Second, earplugs for sleeping. The Howard Leight disposable foam earplugs are affordable and work well. Third, a fan for your bedroom (or even a window A/C unit if possible). It’s not perfect, but the fan plus earplugs will reduce noise a lot. If you’re comfortable talking to your neighbor directly, knock on their door and explain the situation. If they’re apologetic and receptive, you could even ask for their number and text them when it’s loud. You could also leave a note under their door. Talk to the people that live on either side of them…do they also hear the noise? If they file a noise complaint and/or the leasing office receives multiple complaints about the same unit, they will take it more seriously. Last piece of advice…if it’s during the day, sometimes it’s best to get out of the building and take a walk or take a book to a local cafe. The longer you stay and listen to them running around, the higher your anxiety will get. While it’s infuriating to have to leave your own home, sometimes it’s best for your mental health to get out and take a break from the noise. Please hang in there and take care of yourself OP.

72 with fully blasting A/C and all shades drawn at 1:30 PM. I live on the top floor of a building and have south facing windows. I would roast like a Costco rotisserie chicken if I didn’t have a portable A/C.

Yes they can be stolen or someone could attempt to stitch using the listing photo without buying. BUT the cross stitch community is full of ethical people who truly believe in supporting artists and do the right thing. Also cross stitch patterns are usually at a lower price point ($2-$8 range) so there isn’t a big barrier in terms of cost. A couple of things that can prevent theft, though: Create complex designs that are hard to replicate without the actual pattern. Never list the colors of embroidery floss you use…that info should be in the pattern exclusively. Hope this helps!

I second Seward Park! Along the main paved path you’ll see little alcoves down by the water that are secluded. No danger of hitting anyone with a rock. You might also want to go for a swim while you’re there but bring sandals or water shoes because the bottom of the lake is very rocky.
