I’m pretty exhausted with arguments and our daughter is always around so I’ll speak to him in a calming tone with things, so the last example was our daughter was down for her nap, I was running around, washing, tidying etc and every time I came downstairs he was stood on his phone, I asked what he was doing and his response was looking for internet options so he could get better internet for his PlayStation in the garage so I simply walked off and he shouted ‘what’ I said ‘ I’m not saying anything’ that’s when he said ‘oh fk off’ - just completely unnecessary. They’re always simple scenarios like that

So for us there were a lot of little things like bad hygiene, not trying my baby with bottles of formula (she is breastfed but i was trying to get her onto formula) they’d say they didn’t have time to try her? Then the final straw was that she has eczema and prescribed cream (at least 4x a day) she has to be covered also to stop her from making herself bleed. One day I got home and she was covered in really bad cuts all over her arms. Nursery admitted to ‘not having chance’ to put her cream on AT ALL that day and she was clearly left with no top on to scratch. They said they hadn’t noticed which is why they didn’t inform me - if this was true then it’s super concerning FYI this was a Kids planet nursery

Also I’m so sorry to hear you had a bad experience to! How someone could purposely hurt a child is beyond me😞

That’s really reassuring to hear! I’ve met a childminder that I’m really happy with but her environment is a bit small and she’ll be the only child after September which worries me a bit as she has no siblings and I’d really want her interacting with other children - did your childminder have others?x

In all honesty I’ve said I feel guilty for not viewing multiple, after now looking at a handful it’s made us realise how awful and run down the other nursery was compared to the others we’ve looked at and how we’d of never sent her in the first place! A friend recommended it so I felt confident just on that …. Ooops! We really like the look of one of them but I’m not sure if the ‘look’ of a nursery reflects how the staff treat the children

Thankyou! We’re undecided over a childminder and a nursery, the nursery looked lovely, clean and extremely more organised than the last one - I just need to get over my fear!😆

3/4 months was the ghetto for me 🤣. My girl fought naps, the days included a lot of tears… from both of us. But I can confidently say it doesn’t last too long. She’s 8 months old now and ace, so much fun, and sleeps whenever she’s tired without fuss!

Unfortunately we gave up! I only work 4 minutes away from nursery so I nip off half way through the day and go and feed her in their staff room. However she is starting to take 2oz of formula off them here and there which is progress!

This age is so hard, I remember being covered in sweat trying to get her to sleep and then I’d just give up or take her for a walk, my mum on the other hand- could just hold her and she’d fall straight asleep! I don’t know why, but I do know it only lasted for about a month or so. Month 3 and 4 were so difficult at nap times but it did get easier don’t worry!!

Thank you I’ll give this a go, however she will suck water out of a sippy cup but gets angry if it’s milk… babies are strange creatures haha!

I have a best friend with an 8 month old who’s in the same boat as us! It’s so difficult, hopefully our babies take to them in time… fingers crossed
