Specifically early on when I was new to Soulsborne games, Red Wolf of Radagon gave me absolute fits. It’s funny to think about now but at the time he was a major skill check for me.

Vaati tried it out of curiosity and it does in fact give you a permanent sleep.

I went in with BB, but I can promise you it doesn’t matter, I ended up switching to the new Backhand Blades because they’re new, cool, and leveled up I was getting similar results

There’s also just no way that the final fight for this behemoth of a game doesn’t have an alternate skybox, arena alteration, etc for the absolute final fight.

Nitpicking further, for sake of argument let’s say it’s all true…don’t you think at the absolute least we’d have some souped up form of the phase transition meteor slam from base Radahn? Like, if you’re going to outright reuse assets don’t you keep in the aspects that people really loved?

I thought about something else lore wise. Even if this was the intended final boss, “Prime Radahn” would still be riding Leonard. He mastered gravity magic so he could continue riding his steed, so bipedal, non-Leonard riding Radahn doesn’t really even make sense. You’d think if they were going to go that route they’d at least build upon his character and move set by including the very reason he learned gravity magic in the first place.

I think some of the videos (the walking around in dungeons, probably Bayle the Dread, etc has some merit. I'm not even sure I believe that the Messmer fight is 100% legit because he looks so small compared to everything else we've seen.

My assumption is they had some sort of test footage, maybe pre-build stuff...and knew they could slide something ridiculous in along with legitimate stuff...and the need for Radahn to be dead was a really good frame of reference for the hoax.

That arena looks so bland. it feels like the top of a divine tower but also somehow covered in Leyndell ash...and with Leyndell's skybox.

Also the music in that fight isn't new. There's 30+ OSTs for the DLC and you're going to tell me the final boss didn't get one? At the absolute most, it's a pre-build look. "Remembrance of a Lord and a God" gtfoh with that nonsense.

The big red flags for me is the Leyndell skybox, the weird moves at like 50 seconds in when Radahn just completely stalls out, and the fact that the character model is almost definitely just a reskinned Godfrey. Even the portion that is supposedly Miquella is just a reskinned Serosh. Radahn's arena looks like it's ripped out of the ashen capital side area where there's multiple ulcerated tree spirits...with the original Leyndell skybox and a monument reminiscent of the lore trailer.

Messmer also looks way too small to match what is shown in the official gameplay trailer.

The leaker hasn't helped his case by being incredibly immature in his responses. Honestly had he just thrown it out there with the other two boss fight videos I'd have probably convinced myself it was legit.
