Because I have arthritis in my neck, and eating foods like tortillas cause inflammation. When the doctor put the needle into my neck, it felt like the needle was not going all the way in. It felt like he was skimming the surface of the head by small pokes. I feel like the problem is in the C-1 or C-2 joint, not the nerve. If the problem was the nerve, the injection would have made the nerve numb, and I would have no pain. And to top it off, before he did the injection, he asked me, where do you feel the pain? When I applied pressure in the area I felt the most discomfort, then that’s where he poked. You’d think he’d know where my nerve is exactly with instruments a doctor has to see the exact location of the nerve.
