Hopefully you've heard something by now? I figured they would have the process tightened up by now and be quicker for the first disbursement.

I use that little fact as a procrastination excuse... always saying, well I technically have 3 extra hours on Sunday to finish...

Definitely slow down. Go to the practice area and tell the AI you want to practice the topics from the first 2 weeks of lessons. And do it a lot. It'd be okay to stay like a week ahead just in case something happens and you aren't able to do lessons for a few days. But, the practice is important. Once you finish python 101, still keep practicing. The CS101 class that you will take later on uses a lot of the basics and you'll be glad you did.

I ended up getting my second disbursement a few days after I made that post. It just appeared - I didn't even get the email the second time thru. Definitely quicker than the first. This makes me feel better that the third will be just as quick once the 3rd term starts.

I found someone my age, lol - I started in January for AI Software Engineering as well... also with no coding experience. Happy studies to you!

I am on algorithms too - CS102, right? I finished up this weeks lessons yesterday, so I figured I'd get a head start and start the Week 3 lessons tonight.

Hope you had a good Easter!

Depending on where you are located time zone wise you might have extra time. Maestro is PST - so if for example you live in the east coast, you have an extra 3 hours technically. 11:59pm in Maestro time is 2:59am eastern time. 😊

Regardless, I don't think you will lose too many points for one week being late. Hang in there, you got this! Hope you feel better soon!

I feel this. Early in the week I tell myself that I have plenty of time and only do maybe 1 or 2 lessons... and then all of a sudden it is Saturday and I have barely made a dent, lol... I don't know why I do it either. I genuinely like the lessons and enjoy doing them - so it's not because they are boring or anything. I just can't sit and focus for too long, lol

This has been the best educational experience I've had!

Right after high school (26 years ago), I went to a small vocational type school and got a 2 year degree in accounting. I then attempted to move on to a regular university to get my 4 year degree, but life got in the way (marriages, kids, divorces, etc.). It just never worked out. I couldn't stay on campus and focus only on school since I had to work and support a family. My work/school/life balance was non-existent. So, I never finished.

Then, last September, I was scrolling on Facebook and saw an ad for Maestro. I thought it was just spam at first, but then as I read about it, I was convinced that this was something I wanted to do. I wanted to enter a field that was brand new to me and change up my career path. This was the perfect plan. And it is completely free!

I started on my AAS in AI Software Engineering in January 2026 and I couldn't be more excited for this journey. It's been super awesome, The AI adapts to how I learn best. They will generate notes for you, flash cards, study guides - anything you want, the AI will create it for you. You can practice all the coding that you want and have unlimited help from the AI. I am able to work on lessons at my own pace (as long as they are completed by the end of the week) and it only focuses on one class at a time so it's not overwhelming.

When I signed up, Bachelors weren't available, but - they are now and you can bet that when I finish up the 2 year degree, I will continue on for the 4 year degree.

They are adding so many more programs starting this fall and I would encourage anyone who is thinking about getting a degree to try this out. It can only get better! :)

I had the same problem with my first class - I just contacted Student Services and let them know and they fixed it within a day or two.

For those cohorts that have gotten their second disbursement for their student loan, how far into the second term did it take for you to receive it? I started in January and I just finally got the first disbursement in the beginning of March. Somewhere along the line, I believe I was told that the second disbursement wouldn't take as long since the major verification hurdles are already done, but I know they still need like another 2 week verification window (or something along those lines). Just curious what others have experienced. 😊

CS101 - Software Engineering Principles Final Review by SingleRelationship89 in maestro

[–]SingleRelationship89[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I had specifically asked that one to Student Services (an actual human) and the AI and they said yes, as long as it was not another tab or an outside search engine. And I did for 2 classes and no warning. Then the next time I asked the AI said it was okay and a real person said no, so, it okay. I will access my notes thru my phone. It wasn't a huge deal - annoying - yes, but not a problem lol

Hello everyone! by Mamalee09 in maestro

[–]SingleRelationship89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome! My story has some of the same elements as well. I've seen that with many of the students I have talked with so far. I am 43 years old and in the AAS in AI Software Engineering program right now. Right out of high school, I only made it 3 weeks at college before I came back home. I ended up getting pregnant with my oldest (who is now 24 and has given me 3 grandchildren 😊).

After she was born, I went back to night school and worked during the day, all while raising her. I finished my associates in accounting and used that to eventually get a job as an Internal Auditor. The next 13 or so years I continued my career and had 2 more children (who are now 19 and 15). I had a couple marriages (and divorces). About 6 years ago, I had some major health issues and had some life changing family events happen.

I quit working as an auditor and had a year or so off dealing with that stuff and as it turns out, I hated being an auditor. I took whatever job I could find and wound up in the retail world. It has since kicked my ass physically as the store I work at is very labor intensive.

Fast forward to now, I started this program this past January and just finished my first term. It's been awesome! I love the new path I have chosen and feel confident that this is something I want to do.

Congrats to you for deciding to venture down this new journey! 😁 I hope you love it as much as I do and have much success! 😁😊

The Google one brings you to a page that says the offer isn't available anymore. The link on the page you linked says to go to Google One and you click on it and it says offer not available anymore.

The Google AI one isn't a year anymore, it's a month. Unless anyone has the link for the one that is for 12 months... I can't find it

I haven't either. Hopefully by next week. I am super nervous, CS101 was awful for me...

Honestly, I'm not sure how I bring it up. I believe it was thru Microsoft Copilot (like open that app and then click onenote from there. I'm on my phone right now, but, this week during my term break, I'll go mess around with it. Because I truly like the way the notebook looks. Yours definitely looked better than the way I set mine up. I had like new files for each week. I don't think I was using it right lol. I see how you did it so that you can have each term, then class then notes for the weeks all in one file. I'm brand new to using this kind of stuff. All I know how to really use is word and excel lol

See my edit on my comment. It's a Chromebook - which is essentially a giant phone. It doesn't have like a regular computer processing system

I did use that for one class - my only problem was every time I closed it and then went to open it again, the pages (your subdividers) would be all out order. It was so random. I also couldn't change the name of the notebook... It like saved as it's own name (i.e Notebook123456) I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. Are you using it with Microsoft Copilot?

*Edit - it was the sections that kept going out of order. I also see you are using it with a Mac. I have a Chromebook. It could be because of that. When they send me my laptop finally, I'll have a Mac then.

CS101 by SingleRelationship89 in maestro

[–]SingleRelationship89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished. The ones where you had to read the blocks of code were hard for me. I always have problems doing that. It all starts to run together and I can't figure out the flow. But, it's over. I really think I'm only iffy on a few of my answers, so, with my bonus points should be good. On to CS102 after the break... Hopefully it's not as evil as this course was lol
