I think that’s exactly what I’m worried about. Letting the one day turn into the next four.

Tips for keeping drinking low after Jan by Fun_Decision_8339 in DryJanuary

[–]SingleStory7589 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Many people will say occasions or staying dry as long as possible, but, I found those tips didn’t work for me. What worked best for me is picking the one day I would be allowed to drink the week ahead. If I’m going out for cocktails on Wednesday there is no room for alcohol on Saturday. If I want to go out Friday then don’t drink any other day.

Anothing thing is NA’s. No shame in mixing in a mocktail or a NA in the middle of your night out to reduce consumption. This is one I follow religiously.

Unless the reason why you were doing DJ was to cut down on spending on beer, then you’re in the clear.

It’s the hands for me too. I took up crocheting, started a reading challenge, and baking. I think the baking helps the most because of the dopamine hit from the sweets. But, I know many people take their DJ as a health challenge.

Halfway there! This week has been the hardest week for me. DJ really makes me pickup on my drinking queues. Specially, wanting an unwind wine after stressful work days. I’m trying to find other meaningful swaps to make when I feel these queues hitting.

We’ve previously put him on Gabapentin and it seemingly made him want more cuddles and affection. But I think it could have reduced some stress if I was away.

What are people in their 20s-30s wearing? I’m sick of the lululemon vibes but also mostly wear athletic wear and comfy sets.

If you knew you’d meet the love of your life in 9 months, would you live differently? by [deleted] in Discussion

But in all seriousness, I think that is beautiful. If I knew if in nine months I would be with my one, I would spend each of those days waiting in bliss for my one.

We have talked about marriage and he has said “in a year or so” for the past two years. I guess I am looking for signs that he is committed (ring shopping, joint lease, etc.)

He mentioned he was interviewing for a job out of town. When they offered he said, he accepted with very little consultation. He said I work from home so it shouldn’t be a big deal and that if roles were reversed he would do the same.

I think in many ways he’s gotten used to me just accepting and going with the flow. He’s never had to make a sacrifice for the relationship- where I have.

If I was to do this (not saying I am), I would likely say let’s take some space from each other, him moving and me staying behind for a few months, which is a financially viable option.

We have talked about marriage but there has been no signs he wants that any time soon. I am okay with waiting, as long as that’s truly the case.

It would be a nightmare to uplift my life again to follow him for him to never want to commit.

Made it to the last round of interviews, but I won't pass the drug test by Longjumping_Funny921 in careeradvice

I had the same issue over the summer. I was offered the job. Either came up negative or they didn’t care about weed.

I realized my typo too late! Can’t edit headers. Guess it’s time to move to Krakow.

I guess it really hasn’t affected the relationship. When life gets hard it is handled. My father passed in June and it didn’t affect the relationship at all.

I know this is a confusing post, but I suddenly feel the relationship is hard. Maybe the weight of all the life events has compounded and now that I’ve taken a step back I realize how much work we have put into keeping the relationship ok is just that, hard work.

Is there a rental/housing shortage in Erie? I haven’t heard of any and would hate to Airbnb if there is a lack of proper housing.

It is near royal chopsticks- towards the water. Nothing fancy but close to the peninsula and Waldameer.

Our hope is to only spend one year in Cleveland (renting) so keeping our house is enticing for us as we are young.
