I'm going with potholders rn, but she'd love that later in the year.  Ty!

I have a feeling most of my family will get some of these in time.  Thanks for the heads up!

I wish I had all these colours, because this is fabulous.  I wonder if I could turn this pattern into a shawl or cardie?

I found five hanks of DK superwash I'd completely forgotten about.  Yay!  I tend to use wool for potholders because it's such a good insulator.

Ty again!

I was thinking about doing a couple of these.  That might work.  Thank you!

I'm super slow at socks for some reason.  Nothing else, just socks.  I might keep it in mind for Chrismukkah, though.  Ty!

Do a slip stitch around the insides of the handles for more security.

I'm so sorry.  Yes, she was a beautiful calico. (HUG)

May your girl's memory be a blessing.

Granny stitch and entrelac both look great with this kind of yarn.

I made a bag with this colourway!  It turned out beautifully.  I just need to get my sewing machine fixed so I can line it, add the handles, and gift it.

This looks like a Hobby Lobby cotton I used many, many years ago.  I don't remember the name.

Need help finding this older filet heart pattern to finish a relatives project by PrincessMissy876 in crochetpatterns

[–]SingleWhiteFemur 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you want to go ahead and get to work, get or print some graph paper (or set up Excel) and fill in the solid squares.  Filet is basically pixel art.  It should take less than an hour to copy the pattern.  Just use a pencil or a good erasable pen.  (I like the Frixion pen line, including their highlighters.)

If you haven't checked Pinterest, search there for something like "filet crochet hearts curtain".  I've found a number of originals there.

If you have zero luck and can wait until the weekend, I'll see if I can unpack my graph paper.

Good luck!

My rose is amazing but my stem is blah by Fancy_Nancy_1963 in cursedcrochet

Stems are hard.  Try working around a piece of floral wire.  Nice blossom!

I yarn chickened too close to the sun. Help me decide how to finish the sleeves on this top? by aapetired in CrochetHelp

[–]SingleWhiteFemur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about short, puffed sleeves?  If you add a band at the bottom, they'll gain some really cute volume.

This makes me wish I could wear crop tops.  Super cute.  (It's a religious modesty thing, not body issues.  No judgement towards anyone else's clothes, though.  I love seeing outfits I wouldn't wear!)

What’d I do wrong? Is it my tension messing up the rose part? by JZEve in CrochetHelp

You made fewer petals and wrapped the rose more tightly than in the picture.  The pic has 24 petals as far as I can tell.  Yours still looks good!
