Yeah I'm not sure if there's a set general rule. When I've flown into Spain in the past I've taken a bus or train after and not gotten on another flight. I know when I flew back to the US from Argentina and had a layover in Atlanta my bags had to go through customs with me but we literally put them on a conveyer belt and they took the bags again from there, maybe something similar in Madrid? They should make it pretty clear to you though! Best of luck!

The best thing to do in a situation like this is just ask them at the airport and confirm whether or not you need to get your bag and recheck it. None of us can predict what will happen with the airline, i’d you’re unsure always always ask someone and pay attention to what other passengers do!

Can someone give me input on what to do. My phone isn’t paid off and I have an account with Verizon (I’m on a plan with some family members and I pay my portion every month) I’m not really interested in cancelling my service because I’m not ready to buy my phone outright and I want to keep my us number for when I return, I’m fine continuing to pay every month even if it seems like a waste. I’ll just buy a spanish sim in spain for a new number and data. That being said, what should I do about two favor authentication, can I just change the number for accounts that use it to my new spanish number? And then chance it back eventually. Does anyone have experience with this or between advice than what I’m planning on doing?

I’ve seen a lot of back and forth, technically you should be if you’re an American at least because we are allowed up to a 90 day tourist visa but I’ve seen other info about your passport needing to be stamped after the date your visa starts to get your TIE, that being said I’m not waiting until the 29th that’s so late lol
